Due to current, as well as projected future growth, Echelon is currently seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Manager to assist our Liverpool, NY based Finance Team complete day-to-day office tasks, communications, and accounting activities.With a legacy of service, innovation, and reliability, we continue to grow as a trusted partner across North America. Responsibilities: * Leadership & Oversight * Lead, train, and mentor a team of AP specialists. * Set performance goals and ensure high levels of accuracy and productivity. * Provide coaching, development, and performance evaluations. * Process & Compliance * Oversee invoice processing, approvals, and timely payments. * Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting policies. * Manage month-end and year-end close responsibilities for AP. * Vendor & Stakeholder Relations * Maintain positive relationships with vendors, resolving inquiries and disputes promptly. * Collaborate with Procurement and Receiving teams to address purchase order or delivery discrepancies. * System & Reporting * Optimize AP systems and workflows to increase automation and reduce manual errors. * Review and analyze AP metrics; prepare regular reporting for finance leadership. * Support audits with timely and accurate documentation. Qualifications: * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required). * 5+ years of experience in accounts payable; 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role. * Strong knowledge of AP processes, ERP systems (e.g., P21, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle), and Microsoft Excel. * Demonstrated ability to lead teams, improve processes, and manage high volumes of transactions. * Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. * High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
