Job DescriptionJob Title: Carpenter Job Description We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will perform concrete formwork and masonry repairs, assemble metal stud framing, hang and finish drywall, and install acoustical ceiling panels and tiles. Additionally, you will be responsible for installing hollow metal door frames, doors, and hardware, hanging cabinets, and installing countertops. Comfortability working on roofs or from heights, using lifts and ladders is essential. Responsibilities • Perform concrete formwork and masonry repairs., • Assemble metal stud framing., • Hang and finish drywall., • Install acoustical ceiling panels and tiles., • Install hollow metal door frames, doors, and hardware., • Hang cabinets and install countertops., • Work comfortably on roofs or from heights, using lifts and ladders.Essential Skills, • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably in commercial construction., • Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and carpentry equipment., • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings., • Strong mathematical skills for measuring and calculating dimensions., • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail., • Good physical strength and endurance., • Effective communication skills, punctuality, and reliability.Additional Skills & Qualifications, • Experience with metal stud framing., • Skill in door hanging and installation., • Familiarity with construction and general labor., • Knowledge of drywall installation and finishing., • Competency in using power tools and tape measures., • Experience in demolition, cabinetry, and trim work., • Exposure to new construction projects.Why Work Here? Work Environment Work Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with one 15-minute break and a 30-minute lunch. Join a team of 3-4 carpenters and 2 project managers. Our work environment is collaborative, focused on quality craftsmanship and effective teamwork. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Syracuse, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
