This is a full time, Union, non-exempt, hourly position with an overnight schedule starting anywhere between 7pm and 9pm but may vary depending on business needs. Shifts may vary from 10 to 12 hours per evening or until the route is complete. This Depot will be servicing our NYC routes. Working alongside a Helper, our Waste Collection CDL Driver’s main responsibility is to safely operate a rear-loading truck, for the pick-up service of bags or containers filled with waste or recyclable material. Drivers transport the material to a disposal, transfer or recycle facility, and may make one or more trips throughout the shift. Essential Job Functions: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.: • The driver is responsible for safely operating the truck in compliance with IWS’s safety standards as well as OSHA and DOT regulations, and local traffic laws., • Performs pre- and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle using utilizing standard DVIR (Driver Vehicle Inspection Report); notes all issues on DVIR form for corrective review/repair., • Ensuring that the container and its content are always secure. This includes periodically checking tarps and ties, and may require the driver to climb onto containers and/or reach overhead., • Perform pre- and post-route inspections of assigned truck and document any safety issues on standard reports., • Continuously monitor for safety and service-related issues, as well as containers of other equipment in need of repair, and report any issues to the Route Supervisor or Dispatch., • All IWS employees are expected to be responsible and accountable for the safety for themselves, their colleagues, the trucks, and other equipment and property. Summary \n The Machine Operator for Bud's Goods of New Jersey is responsible planning, operating, and maintaining equipment at our facility in Linden, New Jersey. The primary operations of the facility will be the packaging of cannabis and cannabis products as a service to clients of the company. The Machine Operator is responsible for leading and organizing a team of packaging techs in support of day-to-day machine operations. \n\n The Machine Operator must be able to operate and oversee specialized automated packaging equipment and to keep the equipment clean and running efficiently at all times. This role's success relies heavily on the successful operation of the facility's automated packaging equipment, therefore an understanding of mechanical and electrical systems is required. \n\n The Machine Operator's goal is for total client satisfaction and works hard to always adhere to Bud's Goods' high standards for quality and service to our clients and the terms of our client agreements. Responsibilities • Maintain a professional demeanor, aiding customers, employees, visitors, and guests, • Maintain a visible presence in the facility / building assigned, • Monitor the environment, with the ability to detect suspicious and unsafe activity, • Responsible for becoming familiar with incoming and outgoing traffic, know the customers, tenants, visitors, and guests, • Greet customers, visitors, staff, tenants, guests in a professional manner always, • Answer all phones in a professional manner, • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits, • Know the facility / building policies and procedures; enforce them within the limits of the position, • Perform required patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle, • Observe departing personnel to protect against the theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within appropriate customer requirements, • Follow established emergency action planning and procedures, • Monitor alarms and systems Qualifications • State or municipality mandated security officer licenses, • Minimum High School Diploma, GED or the equivalent, • Must have a security guard license or be able to obtain one within an acceptable period, • Must have reliable means of communication and transportation, • Strong interpersonal communication skills and neat and professional appearance, • Write routine correspondence, to include log entries and incident reporting, • Previous contract security, law enforcement, military, customer service experience helpful
