Job Title: Small Business Relationship Manager Job Location: Staten Island, NY Job Status: Full Time General Description: Responsible for expanding the Bank’s C & I loan portfolio in the New York Market. Responsible for working with the Branches and Business Development Officers on commercial loan requests from $250,000 to $750,000. Responsible for prospecting for new business relationships and cross selling Bank products. Essential Functions: • Manage all lending activities including soliciting, pre-screening, underwriting, negotiation, and presentation of loan requests. Includes complex loans and loans requiring significant lending authority., • Train Branches and Business Development Officers on how to identify good commercial loan opportunities and assist in submitting a loan package for approval., • Determine loan feasibility by analyzing the financial condition, operating performance, and repayment ability of borrowers utilizing financial statements, collateral documentation, borrower interviews, and industry and economic data, • Approve loans within established approval matrix, • Develop and maintain lending and operating policies consistent with those established by the Bank, • Actively manage client portfolio to maximize return and credit quality by continually monitoring asset and client performance and maintain ongoing contact with lending clients, • Analyze customer financial product needs and provide appropriate banking solutions through cross-selling cash management and other Bank products to loan clients. Maintain knowledge of all Bank products and services., • Keep abreast of regulations and legislation, as well as, other political and policy making events that directly affect the Bank, • Create and sustain relationships with local centers of influence, such as brokers, owners, CPA's, real estate attorneys and customers for the purpose of referrals. Build and maintain relationships with the community and civic groups and represent the Bank at related events., • Travel to business owner properties/locations for meetings with Branches and/or Business Development Officers or on their own., • Performs walk-through inspections of commercial buildings and construction areas, • Interpret technical data and reports based on environmental and appraisal information while assessing properties, • Re-evaluate past commercial and building loans in terms of cash flow, • Protect the bank's assets and maintain quality of portfolio by adhering to lending processes, policies, and procedures, legal and ethics requirements and regulations, audit requirements, and established risk guidelines., • Compliance with all relevant Bank policies and procedures OTHER: • Must maintain a valid driver’s license.Use of personal vehicle may be necessary to conduct business. About the role We are looking for a Senior Accountant, Corporate Finance to join us in our New York office. The finance team plays a central role in ensuring the financial integrity of EquiLend, meeting global compliance obligations, and delivering insights that guide strategic decision-making. This role provides in-depth institutional knowledge, exposure to all aspects of the company's financials, and the opportunity to strengthen technical skills using modern technology. You will be directly involved in accounting, audit, and tax processes across multiple jurisdictions, contributing to accurate reporting, regulatory compliance, and the efficiency of financial operations. From your first few months, you will be expected to support the team on core accounting tasks and begin working independently, making your contributions both visible and impactful.
