This position provides an opportunity for an experienced HVAC technician with at least seven (7) years' relevant experience to work with a dedicated facilities group, deepen his/her technical skills, and help ensure that Uncommon provides well-maintained, comfortable, and safe educational facilities for our students and staff. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Facilities Management Team, the HVAC Service Technician will perform all technical work necessary to inspect, maintain, repair, and modify HVAC system in our buildings. With expertise in HVAC – and to a lesser extent in construction and plumbing – in multi-family, schools, and commercial buildings, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting minor HVAC projects and managing larger ones and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The HVAC Service Tech will partner with senior Facilities team members and outside consultants on the planning, coordination, and supervision of mechanical construction and repair activities implemented by outside vendors, will ensure project timelines are met and ensure quality control standards are followed, mentor junior staff, and handle all HVAC-related communication with stakeholders. As a member of the NJ Facilities Team, the HVAC Service Technician will • maintain current knowledge of the National Standard HVAC Code and other applicable building codes and perform all facets of the HVAC trade in accordance with those codes and in a safe and effective manner, • diagnose problems with HVAC systems, evaluate solutions to remedy issues, and provide sound recommendations to supervisors, • in emergency situations take immediate steps to contain the problem and restore the system to sound working condition, • in emergency situations maintain clear and consistent communication with stakeholders to apprise them of steps being taken to address the issue, • troubleshoot and repair all HVAC type systems currently available in the market, • maintain records of corrective and preventive work assignments received through an automated work order system (currently SchoolDude, soon ZenDesk), • assist onsite Facilities Managers and General Maintenance Workers with work projects or special assignments, • respond to campus emergency calls after hours as needed, • perform other duties as assignedQualifications Required Technical Skills: • Significant journeyman-level HVAC experience along with the trade knowledge to effectively understand and perform all facets of the HVAC trade in accordance with the National Standard Plumbing Code and other applicable codes, • Strong background in commercial heating projects large and small, including hot water boilers and gas furnaces, • Ability to read as-built plans for all buildings in portfolio, • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, submittals, cut sheets, layouts, technical manuals, schematic drawings, and other HVAC-related trade documents, • Advanced knowledge of BMS systems and system operations, • Ability to procure replacement parts as needed to make all necessary repairs, • Ability to properly and safely use the tools of the trade and carry out all tasks expected of a Snr. Job Description Position Overview: Will have a caseload of 10 participants ages 14-18. Team Leaders will Facilitate groups, preferably Restorative Justice circles. Team Leaders will meet with participants 1:1 to go over program performance. Team Leaders will go over score cards with youth on a daily basis that address Attendance, Preparedness, Performance, Attitude, and Participation. Team Leaders will oversee a Work Team at Project sites. Team Leaders will work 10 hours per week including some weekdays and Saturdays. Job Description Position Overview: Will have a caseload of 10 participants ages 14-18. Career Coach will Facilitate groups, preferably Restorative Justice circles. The Career Coach would run a Career Club for participants in the Advanced stage once a week. Career Clun meetings will cover work-related topics such as, career planning, goal setting, resume building, interviewing, and conflict resolution. Career Coach will meet with participants 1:1 to go over program performance. As an Experienced Discretionary Macro Markets Trader, you will have a real opportunity to have a huge impact on the firm. You will work side by side with other successful and talented individuals to capitalize on market opportunities. This role is for someone who flourishes in a fast-paced environment, has a strong work ethic, a competitive attitude, and a proven record of profitability in a trading position for at least 3 years. This is a senior risk-taking role that will be a key idea generator for the desk. This is a hybrid position with a strong emphasis on in-person presence in our White Plains office. What you'll do: • Manage your own trading book with a focus on trading liquid macro futures, • Manage your own risk of a portfolio of active strategies and drive trading decisions, • Analyze market trends, order flow, and technical patterns to identify trading opportunities, • Develop, test, and refine your trading strategies using historical data and real-time market conditions, • Continuously monitor market conditions, news, and macroeconomic events, • Monitor material changes in levels of risk and variance in PnL, especially focused around deviation from your plans, and proactively communicate those changes to leadership What we'd like to see: • Experience trading liquid macro futures, • `These will commonly include equity indices and/or metals., • Nice-to-have experience includes FX, crypto, options, and/or event-driven trading experience, • Proven track record independently managing a PnL, or being a senior member of the team, driving strategy in a larger environment, • Prior Proprietary Trading or Hedge Fund PM experience strongly preferred., • Larger bank environment or similar experience may be considered if significant decision-making autonomy existed., • Defined discretionary macro edge such as outcome distribution analysis, news and narrative interpretation, relative value frameworks, or portfolio construction discipline., • Entrepreneurial mindset with competitive nature, • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both autonomously and as a team player, • Quant skills and data literacy are a plus but not required. Fully automated or black-box strategies are not the focus of this seat. Openness to feedback and willingness to adapt your trading style with changes in market conditions, • 3 years or more of verified, risk-adjusted profitability The approximate annual base compensation range for this position in White Plains, New York is $72,000 to $120,000 + percent share of the profits you generate.
