The expected pay for this role ranges from $24.04 to $29.81 per hour. Make a difference as a Human Resource Specialist As a Full-Time Human Resource Specialist at the Korean Women's Association, you will play a vital role in aligning our workforce with strategic goals by assisting with the administration of HR programs, policies, procedures, and guidelines. Your essential duties will include maintaining the employee personnel record system and conducting onboarding orientation for new non-union employees, ensuring that cultural values of empathy and professionalism are instilled from day one. You will administer and clearly explain employee benefits, including healthcare and retirement plans, while also preparing and analyzing reports critical to departmental functions. Your keen attention to detail will be crucial when assisting the Director of HR with the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) report and the distribution of the 1095 form. Additionally, you may participate in investigations related to employee complaints, showcasing your commitment to compliance with employment law practices. Your expertise will also support the HR Specialist in managing FMLA and PFML leaves effectively. Does this sound like you? A deep understanding of employment law and practices is essential, alongside advanced knowledge in the administration of benefits and compensation programs. Proficiency in a Microsoft Windows environment, particularly with Excel, is necessary for effective database management and record-keeping. Strong oral and written communication skills are vital, along with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and coaching abilities that will aid in fostering a collaborative workplace culture. Experience in administering FMLA and PFML is crucial to support our employees' needs effectively. An Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development, along with a minimum of two years of progressive HR experience, is preferred. Candidates with a Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification or equivalent will have a distinct advantage in this role. Additionally, familiarity with ADP Workforce Now is preferred to streamline HR processes. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping., • Effective oral and written communication., • Excellent interpersonal organizational and coaching skills., • Experience in the administration of FMLA and PFML. Education • Associate's degree or equivalent in Human Resources Business or Organization Development or equivalent preferred Experience • Minimum of 2 years of progressive experience in HR positions ADP Workforce Now experience highly preferred.
