The Shelter Aide monitors the Emergency Shelter during their assigned shift to ensure smooth and efficient operations as well as a safe and secure shelter setting. This temporary role is a 12-week assignment, with an anticipated start date of December 15, 2025. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Maintain driver logs and complete pre-trip inspections, • Follow all corporate operational procedures and QC Standards, • Adhere to all safety requirements, including Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, • Maintain the service and appearance of all company vehicles, • Follow delivery/pickup instructions from Warehouse Manager and/or Sales Manager, • Authorization to work in the US, • High school diploma / GED, • Valid Commercial Class B Driver’s License and clean driving record, • Current Medical Card, • Good understanding of safety procedures and use of personal protection equipment (PPE), • Good organizational and time management skills, • Must be able to work unsupervised as well as in a team, • Must be able to start early, work late occasionally as needed, • Knowledge of GVWR’s, state/federal regulations regarding height/weight maximums, & winch operations, • OSHA familiarity/training, • Acceptable DOT Drug Test History, • Previous CDL Driving experience, • Previous warehouse experience, • Flatbed and/or tractor-trailer experience, • Frequent holding and grasping with the hands when loading and unloading equipment and while securing your load, • Frequent use of foot/feet, • Frequent lifting of 50 lbs.; occasional lifting up to 90 lbs., • Frequent pushing and pulling of truck side-curtain walls, • Frequent use of winch & ratchet strap tie-downs for load securement, • Morning Shift, • Local Routes w/ Occasional Overnight Deliveries, • Weekends off, • 10+ Paid Holidays, • Accruable PTO, • 401(k) Program, • Company Paid Life Insurance, • Short- and Long-Term Disability Insurance, • Health, Dental, Vision, and Flexible Spending Insurance Plans, • A positive work environment with all team players, • Bonus incentives for employee referrals Since our inception in 1974, Atlantic Plywood Corporation has prided itself on delivering the highest quality and best value to our customers.
