Job DescriptionDescription: Oncology Financial Navigator Team Lead Multiple RWJBH Locations – New Jersey (New Brunswick, Elizabeth, Long Branch, Jersey City, Toms River) Description CAREXST is part of a strong financial advocacy organization with the experience, resources, and disciplines necessary to ensure a successful program. Cancer patients may experience financial vulnerability during treatment. CAREXST Oncology Financial Navigators assess patients’ risk for financial toxicity that could interfere with care. Through personalized financial advocacy, navigators help patients access resources, reduce financial burden, and improve treatment adherence and outcomes. CAREXST is seeking an Oncology Financial Navigator Team Lead to support and lead financial navigation services on behalf of our RWJBH client facilities. Primary Responsibilities • Serve as the on-site Team Lead for Oncology Financial Navigation services across assigned RWJBH facilities, • Provide daily guidance, support, and oversight to Financial Navigators, • Act as the primary liaison between CAREXST leadership and hospital administration, oncology teams, and revenue cycle partners, • Monitor workflows, productivity, outcomes, and compliance with CAREXST and client standards, • Assist oncology patients with applications for pharmaceutical assistance programs and charitable foundation support, • Counsel patients on medical bills, insurance benefits, and available financial resources, • Collaborate closely with physicians, nursing staff, social work, pharmacy, and financial services teams, • Escalate complex cases and ensure continuity of care across facilitiesRequirements: Operational & Travel Requirements • Daily travel is required across the following RWJBH locations:, • RWJBH – New Brunswick, NJ, • RWJBH – Trinitas Elizabeth, NJ, • RWJBH – MMC Long Branch, NJ, • RWJBH – MMC Vantage Point Long Branch, NJ, • RWJBH – Jersey City, NJ, • RWJBH – CMC Toms River, NJ, • Ensure consistent service delivery and coverage across all assigned sites, • Maintain accurate documentation, reporting, and communication across locations, • Perform other duties as assigned, • Ability to train at CAREXST Allentown, PA office, Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM for approximately 2–6 weeks, • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and active car insurance (required due to daily travel), • EPIC and/or patient eligibility experience required, • Prior experience in a healthcare facility, insurance billing, Medicaid eligibility, social work, or patient advocacy preferred, • Prior leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience preferred, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Trustworthy, detail-oriented, goal-driven, and highly organized, • Comfortable working in a hospital environment and interacting with multidisciplinary teams, • Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, • Physical exam, PPD screening, immunization records, and COVID-19 vaccination required CAREXST offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package, including: • Paid Time Off, • Paid Holidays, • Medical, Dental, Life, and Long-Term Disability Insurance
