Job Description Warehouse: • Audit and report inventory while making recommendations on which items to order and restock, • Manage warehouse associates, monitoring work and ensuring the safe use of warehouse equipment, • Establish warehouse practices and protocols to achieve an efficient warehouse, • Set warehouse and team goals in collaboration with executive management and other team leads, • Monitor workplace performance and lead training initiatives to improve employees, • Keep up-to-date on the latest federal and state safety regulations, • Communicate with other departments to ensure products are shipped in a timely manner, • Manage international and domestic shipments, follow shipments to ensure timely delivery, • Work closely with international and domestic freight forwarders on shipments, • Ensure accurate, timely and complete delivery of all orders, both domestically and internationally, • Manage hospitality inventory and work with Executive team to ensure inventory is correctly stocked, • Work closely with internal and external finance teams to ensure accounts are in good standing, flag potential delinquencies and track pre-payments according to internal shipping policies, • Oversee existing third-party warehouse relationships, ensure quality and timely service while maintaining an excellent working relationship, • Partner with production team to ensure wholesale order accuracy and timeliness, communicating any potential risks to sales team, • Work with a team to ensure all Operations is working smoothly, • Manage containers entering warehouse by supplying detailed information on carton and shipping instructions, • Prepare freight quotes for shipments, • Manage inventory of stock items along with backorders, • Oversee processes and standards from the company’s Operations standpoint, suggest changes when needed, • Ready and able to handle all operating issues with minimal supervision, receiving confirmation from Executive team when necessary and reporting issues as needed, • Supervises associates to include, but not limited to staffing, training, coaching, performance management and problem resolution. Ensure staff maintains a level of professionalism, competency and motivation through the direction of selection, development and ongoing evaluation. Promotes safety through the re-enforcement of current safety programs, additional programs, safety meetings, proper footwear and clothing, and discussions of workers' compensation costs., • Reviews stock status reports, coordinates with inventory staff to ensure accurate counts of inventory are available and sufficient to meet customers’ needs, and communicates about low stock items, seasonal swings and customer promotions., • Coordinates with inventory staff to return obsolete products to vendors or sell to other distributors, as needed., • Ensures building and equipment are maintained through supervising personnel in maintenance and repair activities., • Ensure customers are notified of stock shortages by providing information to Customer Service Representatives, Warehouse Shift Supervisor and Operations Manager regarding shortages, available substitutes, and recording all information., • Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, standardized operating procedures and ensures all department staff do the same., • Oversee transportation department, including its assets and employees., • Manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and ecommerce management., • Supervise scheduling of deliveries., • Review financial reports, such as reimbursement requests., • Manage performance of drivers with emphasis on productivity, efficiency, and service delivery., • Lead all distribution and transportation planning and strategic activities., • Recruit, interview, select, train, motivate, coach, and mentor drivers and dispatchers., • Assist in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement opportunities and customer satisfaction opportunities., • Oversees the coordination and routing of deliveries., • Directs dispatching and routing activities and tracks transportation vehicles., • Ensures that customer difficulties or problems are investigated and resolved., • Negotiates and secures contracts with transportation providers and customers., • Implements safety audits and trains staff members on safety issues., • Maintains knowledge of regulations related to transportation., • In collaboration with other managers, develops and implements policies, procedures, goals, and objectives for transportation operations., • Ensures compliance with administrative policies and procedures, safety rules, environmental policies, and government regulations., • Performs other related duties as assigned., • People leaders who connect with teams have capacity and inclination to coach, develop and engage from top to bottom. Build strong relationships and loyalty with team so retention and engagement are great., • Holds team accountable, rewards and recognizes great performers while coaching and disciplining consistent poor performers., • Lead the implementation of change in his/her operations, • Maintain customer service levels within Transportation operations, • Drives operational execution of key objectives such as productivity, service, and retention., • Develop and support cost Management initiatives that deliver cost effective results and the right level of customer service to support the business., • Work to ensure all CSA -cores meet FMSCA requirements and that all incidents and violations are kept to a minimum., • Work closely with Human Resources on the recruitment and retention of CDL drivers and ensure DOT compliance., • Proactively implement and manage all DOT compliance with a strong emphasis on Personal responsibility for accident incident prevention., • Monitor compliance of Driver fleet Operations to ensure all personnel comply with all DOT regulations per the FMCSA and company policies., • Assist in the company documentation and investigation of accidents/incidents and coordinate effective response with appropriate management personnel., • Oversee safety, training plans, and organize execution., • Conduct training for drivers and managers to ensure compliance with DOT regulations, • Maintain current and accurate list of all drivers and manage driver eligibility for CDL and Non - CDL., • Maintains Driver Qualification Files in accordance with regulatory requirements., • Monitor and audit preventative maintenance and unplanned repair programs for regional shop operations, ensuring vehicle maintenance are completed on a timely basis., • Ensure daily vehicle inspections (DVIRs) are being performed by drivers and managed properly by each location within the region. Ensure proper recordkeeping requirements are met., • Manage the effective utilization of DOT-related IT systems including, Samsara, and Driver's Alert., • Track and manage functionality and appropriate use of Electronic Logging Devices (ELDs)., • Conducts routine DOT compliance audits., • Work in conjunction with the Safety Department on vehicle incident investigations and root cause analysis., • Keep track of all DOT/FMCSA regulatory compliance updates and provide reporting to Senior Management., • Supports customer service satisfaction, for both internal and external customers alike, • Support Senior Management on all Leasing, Maintenance, and Contractual Agreements pertaining to Transportation., • Supports Senior Management on delivering against financial & operational metrics for GMI markets, • Ensures adequate staffing and scheduling are in place to support an effective and continuous operation., • Identifies operational problems and quickly implements appropriate solutions, • Responsible for promptly addressing and resolving problems/complaints raised by the warehouse and delivery team, • Operates with a Continuous Improvement mindset, creating and executing proactive steps to eliminate waste improve efficiency and internal customer satisfaction, • Upholds promotes and demonstrates an environment of honesty, integrity and candor throughout the department., • Support the coordination of periodic managers, supervisors, and drivers meetings.
