Job DescriptionDescription: A Child Behavior Therapist implements in-home based Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) treatment programs for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Behavior Therapists work with clients and families under the direct supervision of a Clinical Supervisor. The treatment plans implemented are designed to address skill acquisition as well as addressing challenging behaviors that may occur in a variety of settings. Our staff are provided with an iPad, games, and other fun resources to help those from ages 2-20 make progress in their social and behavioral growth. Our clinical and administrative staff are always supportive and provide sufficient hands-on training, including opportunities to grow in the company. Requirements: • At least a High School Diploma, preferably with higher education, • Preferred experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) (entry level welcome), • A valid California Driver's License, • Reliable transportation & proof of auto insurance (must be able to commute up to 16 miles), • NOTE: • Illuminate Minds does not provide reimbursement for any public or private transportation or ride-sharing, • Case assignments are made by considering your residential location and scheduling needs. • A negative TB test is required, • Must pass and maintain a clear DOJ background check using Live Scan fingerprinting is required, • Paid training, • Paid sick time, • Paid drive time between clients, • Assisting with the accumulation of RBT hours, • Assisting with the accumulation of BCBA hours, • Competitive Pay, • Company iPad, • Growth opportunities, • Employee referral bonuses, • Staff support from supervisor(s) and the clinical team, • Casual, but professional, work attire, • Choose your own hours, • Day / Evening shift, • Monday to Friday, • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to record and track therapy progress, • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships, • Gathering data on the client's target behaviors throughout each session, and working with the team to ensure progress is made, • High school diploma (relevant college course work in behavioral health field preferred), • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification or willingness to obtain certification upon hiring, • Must have the ability to lift and carry clients and maintain a variety of postures including but not limited to kneeling, squatting, standing, sitting on the floor for extended periods of time, and using hands to touch, feel, or grasp objects, • Must have the ability to use heights and ladder climbing as needed.
