We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to design and develop sheet metal enclosures and packaging solutions for PCB assemblies and power supplies used in military and aerospace applications. This role requires expertise in precision sheet metal design, thermal management, and ruggedized packaging that meets stringent military specifications and aerospace standards. Key Responsibilities Design and develop sheet metal enclosures, chassis, and packaging solutions for PCB assemblies and power supply units intended for military and aerospace applications. Create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D manufacturing drawings using industry-standard software, ensuring designs are optimized for sheet metal fabrication processes including forming, bending, stamping, and welding. Perform thermal analysis and design appropriate cooling solutions such as heat sinks, ventilation patterns, and thermal interfaces to ensure components operate within specified temperature ranges in harsh environments. Ensure all designs comply with relevant military standards (MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-461, MIL-DTL-901) and aerospace specifications, including shock, vibration, EMI/EMC shielding, and environmental sealing requirements. Collaborate closely with electrical engineers to understand PCB layouts, component placement, connector requirements, and electrical grounding needs. Select appropriate materials and finishes that meet corrosion resistance, weight limitations, and durability requirements for the intended operating environment. Develop prototypes and coordinate with manufacturing teams and external vendors to ensure designs are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards. Conduct design verification testing including shock, vibration, thermal cycling, and environmental testing. Support qualification and certification processes required for military and aerospace applications. Participate in design reviews, failure analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 3-5 years of experience in sheet metal design for electronics packaging. Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CREO, or similar) with strong understanding of sheet metal design principles and manufacturing processes. Knowledge of military specifications (MIL-STD) and aerospace standards applicable to mechanical design and electronics packaging. Experience with thermal analysis tools and understanding of heat transfer principles in electronic systems. Strong understanding of materials selection, particularly aluminum alloys, stainless steel, and specialty coatings for harsh environments. Familiarity with EMI/RFI shielding techniques and grounding requirements. Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and PCB layouts. Experience with GD&T and creating detailed manufacturing drawings.

Job Summary: The Senior Manufacturing Engineer Manager holds a leadership role for the Manufacturing Engineering team and is responsible for machining and special process development, CNC and CMM programming, tool and fixture design and fabrication, including the validation of all processes and programs for use on the shop floor. Hotel areas maintained under the direction of the chief engineer include public areas, guest rooms, support areas, machinery, equipment, and grounds. Primary Functions: Supervise the maintenance of the hotel so that there are no additional expenses or loss of business resulting from deferred maintenance. Review and be knowledgeable of information contained on circulate management reports. Implement and adhere to all Company purchasing procedures and controls. Protect the Company’s financial assets. Be knowledgeable on the safe use of tools, chemicals, supplies, and related materials. Use these materials safely and according to instructions. Use hotel supplies and materials efficiently. Promptly report to the General Manager and correct maintenance deficiencies that may have a negative effect on guest comfort and/or operating expenses. Promptly report and correct risks to guest, visitor and employee safety, security, and health to General Manager. Coordinate access to guestrooms and timeliness of guestroom maintenance with the housekeeping and front office departments. Be knowledgeable of hotel features, amenities, and services. Adhere to all company policies and procedures. Participate in job-oriented continuing education programs. Implement and monitor a formal, documented ongoing preventative maintenance program for all hotel’s major equipment and machinery. Specific Responsibilities Complete and post daily work checklists and special project checklists. Conduct daily tours of all hotel facilities to discover and correct maintenance deficiencies, conditions that negatively affect guest experience and conditions that risk the security safety or health of the hotel, guests, or other visitors. Including but not limited to, trash disposal in public areas. Report and investigate losses of company assets. Tactfully and professionally handle special guest situations and problems. Report guest comments to the general manager and the front desk staff. Respond to written and verbal work orders originating from the front desk, housekeeping staff and management. Deliver requested items to guestrooms, such as bedding, pillows, cribs, rollaway beds, towels, light bulbs and supplies when requested by the supervisor or front desk staff. Report the status of maintenance assignments to the front desk, housekeeping, and management. Repair and clean mechanical equipment. Perform preventative maintenance on mechanical equipment. Complete special projects, including but not limited to, painting, refinishing, plumbing, flooring, wall treatments, landscaping, demolition, construction, electrical, carpentry, refrigeration, and other projects. Repair and clean furniture, fixtures, and equipment in the hotel’s guest rooms, public areas, storerooms, offices, workshops, support areas, garage, and outdoor areas. Secure guestrooms, storerooms, mechanical rooms, and work areas. Secure hotel equipment and supplies. Maintain comprehensive records on guestroom maintenance and preventive maintenance. Complete other assignments and perform other duties as directed by management. Performance Standards: Annual performance evaluations are subjected to contributions of measurable value to hotel metrics and goals. Shift Schedule: This is a full-time role, scheduled for 5 days a week with 8-hour shifts. Availability on Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday is required, as these are the hotel’s highest occupancy days. Two weekdays off will be scheduled and can be discussed during the interview process. While the position primarily operates on a fixed schedule, the ideal candidate should be available for occasional after-hours calls in the event of urgent maintenance issues or emergencies. We aim to respect work-life balance while ensuring the property remains fully operational and guest-ready at all times. This position is budgeted for 40 hours per week, typically scheduled in 8-hour shifts across 5 days. Additional hours may be required on occasion to address urgent or time-sensitive maintenance issues.
