Project Overview iParametrics is seeking a Project Engineer to support a hyper-scale data center construction project near Amarillo, Texas. This role is fully site-based and will serve as a critical member of the on-site engineering team, coordinating technical and administrative project functions. The Project Engineer will collaborate with area managers, subcontractors, design teams, and client representatives to resolve field coordination issues, ensure constructability, and drive progress toward project milestones. Role’s Responsibilities * Support area managers and subcontractors by facilitating resolution of field coordination issues. * Review and interpret design drawings, construction documents, and technical manuals. * Coordinate civil, structural, and architectural (CSA) systems across project scope. * Process and cross-check shop drawings, product data, and submittals for compatibility and constructability. * Generate and manage Requests for Information (RFIs). * Distribute change documents, field directives, and bulletins. * Assist in BIM coordination, clash detection, and resolution. * Participate in quality assurance, pre-functional testing, commissioning, and turnover activities. * Provide technical field support including layout verification, sequencing, and as-built documentation. * Collaborate closely with MEP engineers to ensure integration with CSA systems. * Facilitate client training on operation and maintenance of CSA systems. Must Have Qualifications * Experience: Minimum 3 years of project engineering experience in commercial construction (hyperscale data center or mission-critical project experience strongly preferred). * Education: High School diploma or GED required. Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; or equivalent craft-level experience. * Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, trade sequencing, and commissioning workflows. * Software Knowledge: * Project management tools: Prolog, Procore, E-Builder, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Primavera P6. * Design tools: AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks. * Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams). * Skill: Ability to organize and analyze technical data effectively; familiarity with CSI MasterFormat. * Skill: Strong communication, time management, and collaboration abilities in a fast-paced environment. * Work Conditions: Ability to work outdoors in varying weather, climb ladders/scaffolding, inspect confined spaces, and lift up to 50 lbs. Flexible to work extended/off-shift hours as needed. * Other: Must hold a valid driver’s license and pass a company drug and alcohol test. Preferred Qualifications * Prior experience supporting large-scale, fast-paced projects in advanced technology or federal/military environments. * Familiarity with hyperscale data center workflows, commissioning, and turnover processes. * Training in survey theory and techniques. * Experience leading client training on O&M systems.
