Job Description PJ Metal Craft is seeking a Construction Helper with a minimum of 1 year of construction experience to assist with projects in the workshop and occasionally on job sites. This position is ideal for someone who wants to learn architectural metal fabrication, copper work, and construction skills while supporting our team with daily tasks. The ideal candidate is reliable, hardworking, safety-focused, and willing to learn. Shop Location & Info • 1 Barry Place, Stamford, CT 06902, • Must be able to commute to the above address, • HS and trade school preferred, • Understand English, • Minimum 1 year of construction experience, • Basic familiarity with construction tools, • Ability to lift materials and perform physical work, • Strong work ethic and willingness to learn, • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team Build a long-term career fabricating architectural metalwork, learning valuable skills, and working on projects that last for generations: • Performance-based bonuses for strong results, • Hands-on training in architectural metal fabrication and installation, • Opportunity to learn multiple skills in both workshop fabrication and field installation, • Work on high-end architectural and historic projects, • Career growth opportunities within a growing company Workshop Support • Assist with preparation of materials for fabrication, • Help organize, efficient and safe tools and materials in the workshop, • Clean and maintain machines and organize and clean the areas daily for safety work, • Support fabricators with basic tasks such as holding materials, measuring, and cutting preparation and help with effective workflow with projects, • Assist installers with handling materials and tools, • Carry and stage materials safely (lift occasionally 50 Lb), • Help maintain a clean and organized job site, • Load and unload materials and equipment, • Move materials safely within the shop or job site, • Assist with deliveries or material pickups when needed, • Follow all safety procedures and PPE requirements, • Keep the workspace clean and organized, • Respect tools, equipment, and materials and inspect then and keep inventoryCompany DescriptionAre you a craftsperson who takes pride in precision and artistry?
