Job Description Job Title: Mechanical Installation Technician Job Description The Mechanical Installation Technician installs chutes, mechanical systems, and human-machine interfaces (HMIs) inside a large, fast-paced warehouse facility. This role involves working with hand and power tools, following detailed blueprints and standard operating procedures, and installing wires, cables, and mechanical components with precision. The position is physically demanding and requires comfort working at heights of up to 6 feet and handling both large and small parts. Responsibilities • Install chutes, mechanical systems, and HMIs according to project specifications and instructions., • Use a variety of hand and power tools safely and effectively to perform mechanical and electrical installations., • Follow blueprints and standard operating procedures (SOPs) precisely without deviating from instructions., • Install interfaces, wires, and cables, ensuring accurate routing, secure connections, and proper organization., • Work with both large and small mechanical and electrical parts, maintaining accuracy and attention to detail., • Measure components and installation locations accurately using a tape measure., • Perform general labor tasks such as loading, unloading, cleaning, and organizing materials and work areas., • Assemble mechanical components and systems according to schematics and assembly instructions., • Support construction, carpentry, and industrial-style installation and repair activities as needed., • Operate basic material handling equipment such as forklifts when required and if qualified., • Perform quality assurance checks on completed installations to ensure they meet project and safety standards., • Assist with inventory of parts, tools, and equipment to support ongoing installation activities., • Work collaboratively with on-site advisors and service teams to complete projects on schedule., • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area in a busy warehouse environment., • Ability to read and use a tape measure accurately., • Experience working with a wide range of hand and power tools., • Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform mechanical assembly and installation., • Ability to follow blueprints, schematics, and standard operating procedures without deviation., • Comfort working at heights of up to 6 feet., • Capability to install wires, cables, and interfaces with attention to detail., • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during an 8–10 hour shift., • Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and materials up to 50 lbs., • General labor experience in loading, unloading, cleaning, and production environments., • Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical components and systems., • Experience in installation, repair, or service work in industrial or construction settings., • Experience in mechanical technician work, mechanical assembly, or similar technical roles., • Experience in construction, carpentry, or industrial installation environments., • Familiarity with reading and working from electrical and mechanical schematics., • Experience with quality assurance practices in installation or production settings., • Forklift experience or certification for safe material handling is beneficial., • Experience working with general contractors or in large-scale warehouse or production facilities., • Ability to perform basic troubleshooting and repair on mechanical or electrical components., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety and quality standards. You will work in a modern, high-volume warehouse environment that offers exposure to large-scale industrial systems and ongoing installation projects. Work Environment This role is based inside a large, busy warehouse facility with many moving parts and active operations throughout the day. You will work closely with on-site advisors and service teams in a fast-paced, labor-intensive setting that requires constant movement, standing, and manual handling of materials. The schedule is primarily Monday through Friday with a morning shift starting at 7:00 a.m., typically 8–10 hours per day, with occasional work on Saturdays as needed. The dress code includes steel-toe footwear, jeans, and a work shirt, and you must have a valid ID to access the facility. Work involves frequent use of hand and power tools, mechanical and electrical installation equipment, and material handling tools in an industrial warehouse environment. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Pooler, GA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $24.00/hr.
