The Division of Maternal Fetal Medicine in the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School seeks an accomplished Maternal Fetal Medicine specialist to join our academic faculty. This is an open-rank position, and the successful candidate's experience and qualifications will determine the academic rank at which they are appointed. The faculty member will contribute to the division's clinical, educational, and research missions while providing high-quality, patient-centered care for high-risk pregnancies. The role includes collaboration with faculty, fellows, residents, and medical students, as well as active participation in clinical practice, teaching, and scholarly activity. Board certified or board eligible in Obstetrics and Gynecology, with subspecialty certification in MaternalFetal Medicine from the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). Eligible for medical licensure in the state of New Jersey. Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology Fellowship in Maternal Medicine Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Preferred Qualifications: These may influence the academic rank at which the candidate is appointed. Demonstrated commitment to teaching, mentorship, and supporting learners. Interest or experience in clinical research and scholarly activity. Experience working in an academic medical center. Prior involvement in quality-improvement initiatives. A record of research publications and success in obtaining grant funding. Leadership experience in clinical care, education, or research. Overview: Clinical Operations & Patient Care: Provide high-quality, evidence-based, and patient-centered perinatal care, including high-risk pregnancy consultations, fetal therapy, and prenatal diagnosis at academic hub in New Brunswick as well as at off-site contracted ambulatory practice locations. Conduct inpatient and outpatient maternal-fetal medicine consultations. Build and expand maternal-fetal medicine clinical practice, including outreach programs and telemedicine initiatives. Collaborate with general obstetricians, neonatologists, and other specialists to enhance multidisciplinary perinatal care. Participate in and contribute to quality measures, patient safety, patient experience and outcomes programs for the sub-specialty and department. Education & Training: Provide mentorship for MFM fellows, residents, and medical students. Support the MFM fellowship program consistent with ACGME training standards. Provide hands-on training in ultrasound, prenatal diagnosis, and high-risk pregnancy management. Deliver lectures and lead educational conferences on MFM-related topics. Contribute to medical school teaching and educational initiatives, including lectures, workshops, and simulation training. Research & Scholarly Activity: Actively engage in clinical, translational, and basic science research within the division. Foster collaboration on research initiatives between the division, department, and institutional research centers. Encourage trainees to participate in scholarly activities, including publications and national presentations. Administrative & Leadership Responsibilities: Participate in departmental and institutional committees as assigned. Contribute to program development and strategic planning for the division. Assist with accreditation and compliance efforts related to maternal-fetal medicine programs. Represent the division at national and regional conferences.
