About the Role: The Per Diem Administrator on Duty (AOD) is responsible for supporting health, safety, and overall functioning of the residential program during assigned shifts. This includes monitoring program delivery, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and maintaining professional standards of care. While not a supervisory role, the per diem AOD is expected to provide on-the-ground support to direct care staff, assist in resolving issues that arise during the shift, and escalate concerns appropriately. In the absence of full-time leadership (e.g., Assistant Residential Directors or Residential Director), the AOD serves as the point person for coordination and communication. This position plays a key role in maintaining continuity of care and ensuring youth and staff safety during non-standard hours, weekends or holidays. What You’ll Do Essential Functions • Maintain communication with cottage staff and monitor staff and resident locations off/on grounds., • Ensure effective communication of priority information to all necessary staff and shifts., • Obtain census information on each shift and record in the Communication logbook., • Maintain thorough and accurate records, files and correspondence; Complete necessary documentation (both hand-written and computer based/data entry) in a timely, accurate, complete, and legible manner. May include, but not limited to notations in the logbook, AOD location board, incident reports, sign-in sheets, and any other forms used or as directed by your supervisor., • Set and contribute to a safe, dignified, orderly atmosphere by enforcing program rules, policies, and procedures., • At all times model the appropriate dress, speech, and behavior for residents. This includes dressing professionally or in designated work uniforms/dress code if prescribed., • Maintain appropriate professional boundaries with adolescents and staff; Respond to all requests in a professional and courteous manner; Observe and adhere to adolescent confidentiality standards., • Maintain and promote a cooperative, harmonious, teamwork environment within the workplace. This position is based out of our Yonkers Residential Treatment Center location for adolescents ages 12-21. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This position is in a 24/7 program. The AOD shifts are 7am-3pm/ 3-11pm and 11-7am. The PD may be offered any of these shifts as needed for the program. RTC staff may be required to remain on shift if there is no immediate staff relief available, ensuring continuity of care and maintaining a safe, supportive environment for youth at all times. Flexibility in shift scheduling may be necessary to meet staffing needs.
