This hiring process is moving quickly. POSITION DETAILS Position: Patient Services Representative (PSR) Program: BMSPAF Location: 100% Remote – U.S. Pay: $18.00/hour Start Date: October 19, 2026 Schedule: Monday–Friday Hours: 8:00 AM–4:30 PM EST Lunch: 30-minute unpaid lunch Breaks: Two paid 15-minute breaks WHAT YOU'LL DO The Patient Services Representative provides advanced support to patients, providers, and caregivers for a manufacturer-sponsored healthcare program. Responsibilities may include: • Benefits verification, • Insurance eligibility and coverage support, • Billing and coding assistance, • Claims assistance, tracking, and submission, • Prior authorization assistance and tracking, • Coordination of benefits, • Benefits verification result calls, • Welcome calls, • Alternate coverage research, • Appeals and denials, • Patient, provider, and caregiver support, • Processing required correspondence, • Reviewing reimbursement trends and delays, • Maintaining accurate documentation, • Handling confidential patient information, • Working from phone and system-based queues, • Following defined policies, procedures, and service-level expectations, • Escalating complaints or complex situations appropriately This is a remote healthcare support position with phone and queue-based responsibilities. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or GED required OR Higher Education Candidates generally need 4+ years of directly related and progressively responsible experience. Education may substitute for experience as follows: • A qualifying 2-year degree may substitute for 2 years of experience, • A qualifying 4-year degree may substitute for 4 years of experience Relevant backgrounds may include: • Healthcare customer service, • Health insurance, • Patient services, • Medical billing and coding, • Benefits verification, • Insurance eligibility, • Prior authorization, • Claims, • Appeals and denials, • Pharmacy support, • Provider services, • Healthcare call centers, • Reimbursement support SKILLS WE'RE LOOKING FOR • Strong verbal and written communication, • Advanced customer-service and interpersonal skills, • Strong attention to detail, • Strong organizational skills, • Ability to follow established policies and procedures, • Ability to work independently, • Basic analytical skills, • Strong mathematical skills, • Familiarity with medical terminology, • General knowledge of medical claims, • General knowledge of healthcare billing preferred, • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel, • Ability to navigate multiple systems while maintaining accuracy, • Ability to work successfully in a structured remote environment PLEASE READ BEFORE APPLYING THIS CLASS STARTS OCTOBER 19TH AND THE PROCESS MOVES FAST.
