Job Description Job Title: Material Handler Job Description The Material Handler safely and efficiently prepares customer orders for shipment and operates heavy material handling equipment in a fast-paced production environment. This role involves handling and moving materials, loading and unloading products, and supporting overall warehouse and production operations while following strict safety procedures and quality standards. Responsibilities • Fill and prepare customer orders for shipment accurately and in a timely manner., • Operate heavy equipment, including cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery, in a safe and efficient manner., • Load and unload materials from trucks, storage areas, and production lines., • Handle and move materials throughout the facility using appropriate material handling equipment., • Lift materials weighing up to 75 pounds on occasion while following safe lifting practices., • Support general labor tasks within production and warehouse areas as needed., • Follow all safety programs and procedures with zero tolerance for unsafe practices., • Actively participate in safety culture by consistently discussing safety, observing work practices, and reporting hazards., • Assist in the investigation and documentation of injuries, accidents, and losses as required., • Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free work area., • Follow shift schedules and work overtime, afternoon, or evening hours as required based on business needs and shift assignment., • High School Diploma or GED., • Mental alertness and adaptability to both office and field/plant work routines., • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment such as cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery., • Capability to lift up to 75 pounds on occasion., • Strong attention to detail when filling and preparing customer orders for shipment., • Ability to perform general labor and material handling tasks in a production environment., • Willingness and ability to work 2nd or 3rd shift as assigned., • Ability to work overtime and flexible hours, including afternoons and evenings, based on operational needs., • Education equivalent to four years of high school, with emphasis on office skills and shop skills., • Previous experience in material handling, loading and unloading, or general labor in a warehouse or production setting., • Experience operating forklifts or other powered industrial trucks., • Strong awareness of and participation in safety programs and incident reporting. Work Environment This role is based in a production and warehouse environment that emphasizes safety, teamwork, and consistent material flow. Available schedules include two openings on 2nd shift (3:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m.) and one opening on 3rd shift (11:00 p.m. to 7:30 a.m.). All new hires must be able to train on 1st shift for approximately six weeks (7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.). The workplace enforces robust safety programs with a strict, no-tolerance approach to unsafe practices, and leadership remains actively involved in discussing safety, observing work practices, and investigating any injuries or accidents. The environment involves operating cranes, forklifts, and processing machinery, as well as frequent movement of materials and general labor tasks. The dress code requires long pants and protective footwear, including steel-toe boots that are leather, oil-resistant, above the ankle, and equipped with a metatarsal guard. The facility maintains a structured, safety-focused atmosphere with clear expectations for conduct and adherence to procedures. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Morrisville, PA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.50 - $20.50/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
