Job Description As a Performance/Youth Soccer Strength and Conditioning Coach, you will play a crucial role in helping young soccer players develop the physical attributes and skills necessary to excel in the sport while minimizing the risk of injuries. Seeking a self-motivated, hard-working, detail-oriented individual for full-time employment. This individual will work at the Division's Substance Treatment and Research Service (STARS) facility located at 3 Columbus Circle under the supervision of Amy Mahony, LMHC as an employee of the Research Foundation for Mental Hygiene, Inc. (RFMH). The individual will work some evening and weekend hours. This individual must possess excellent organizational skills, exercise good judgment and the ability to work without continuous supervision in a research setting with ongoing clinical trials. Duties and Responsibilities: This Research Assistant will be involved in a number of clinical trials that evaluate the effectiveness of medications for treating substance use disorders. The responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: 1. subject recruitment, 2. conducting telephone screening interviews, 3. implementing research studies described in the funded grants as approved by the IRB, 4. maintaining case reports forms, 5. data maintenance/entry, helping with data analysis and graphics, 6. maintaining study supplies and equipment, 7. scheduling participant appointments, 8. administering selected study instruments and coordinate self-report instruments, 9. drawing blood (will be trained if not already a certified phlebotomist), perform urine drug screens, vital signs and EKGs, 10. handling IRB and NIH correspondence, 11. assisting with grant and manuscript preparation, 12. assisting with hospital admissions and discharges, 13. running of patients on the in-patient unit.
