Job Description DEPARTMENT: Clubhouse JOB TITLE: Youth Activities Supervisor REPORTS TO: Youth & Recreation Director COMPENSATION: Hourly SCHEDULE: Days and times will vary based on the event schedule and may include weekends and some holidays. As a Youth Activities Supervisor, you will play a vital role in creating a fun, engaging, and safe environment for children at Burning Tree Country Club. You will be responsible for organizing and supervising the playroom, as well as collaborating with the Y&R Director to create a schedule of youth events. The role also includes managing special events for children, such as birthday parties and other kid-friendly activities for our members. The ideal candidate will be outgoing, creative, and experienced in working with children, with the ability to take initiative and create memorable experiences. Who we are: • Burning Tree Country Club is, first and foremost, a private golf club that prioritizes creating an open and family-oriented environment., • The club was founded in 1962., • Our amenities include an 18-hole golf course that hosted US Open Qualifiers and Met PGA events, an 8-lane 25-meter pool with a diving well, Har-Tru tennis courts, a platform tennis complex, and multiple member and event dining options. We also have active junior programs in golf, tennis, and aquatics., • We take pride in our daily ala carte service and the first-class events created by our Events & Banquets Team., • Our Food and Beverage department comprises various a la carte outlets, both indoors and outdoors, including The Grille Room, Founders Bar, Patio, and Salons, catering to the needs of all Members and guests per established rules and etiquette., • We are all about our youngest members! We take pride in our active Youth Activities Program, Junior Sports, and Summer Camp. The Essentials • Create, revise, and coordinate a calendar of programs and events to meet/exceed member expectations., • Develop original and engaging kids’ and family programs to enhance the club’s reputation among private clubs., • Lead Youth team meetings, create Youth-related BEOs, and input events/programs into digital calendars (e.g., Outlook, Tripleseat, or JAM). Assign staff set-up and breakdown responsibilities for events., • Ensure a safe, interactive, and stimulating environment for children and families., • Work closely with the Marketing/Communications Director to promote youth programs, including managing content for the Club’s dedicated youth Instagram page., • Help design and oversee multi-functional, sensory-driven, developmentally appropriate, and interactive kids’ spaces., • Oversee Youth Activities Assistants to ensure all staff are properly trained and knowledgeable when interacting with children of members., • Continue building on a program that is fun, creative, and recreational, with an educational component., • Consistently research new activities that could enhance our current offerings. The Expectations • Ability to foster a culture of respect and love for all Members’ children, • Ability to cater to children of different ages and help develop them through well-designed and age-appropriate programs, • An outgoing and extroverted personality to motivate children to be their best and foster an environment where parents have peace of mind knowing their children are safe, happy, and well cared for. The Standards • Bachelor’s in early education or related field (preferred), • Previous experience in childcare or camp management is a plus., • Ability to coach, mentor, and motivate YA Assistants, • First Aid / CPR / AED Certified, • Strong marketing, organizational and computer skills, • Effective presentation, teaching, and communication skills, • Required to stand for extended periods and walk, as well as climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, bend, stretch, twist, or reach., • Must be able to be hands-on with staff as necessary, • Must be able to sit for prolonged periods., • Push, pull, or lift to 30 pounds., • Work in a hot, humid, and noisy environment.
