Job Description Job Title: Outreach Engagement Specialist Job Summary: CASES is looking for an Outreach and Engagement Specialist to become part of the Supervised Release Program (SRP) team. The ideal Outreach Engagement Specialist will develop and implement strategies to establish relationships with a variety of communities, organizations, and stakeholders. The objective of the Outreach and Engagement Specialist is to promote the mission, programs, and services of our organization, and to cultivate collaborations and partnerships that further our objectives. Participants in the Supervised Release Program hail from a variety of backgrounds, encompassing youth, young adults, individuals with substance use disorders, and those facing homelessness. Participants in the Supervised Release have not been convicted of a crime and are not required to undergo treatment. The Outreach Engagement Specialist role is vital in skillfully motivating and empowering them to leverage their strengths and enact positive life changes, all while adhering to court mandates. The pretrial supervision period, typically last 5-6 months, to help participants establish personal goals and access services that lead to significant life improvements, fulfilling court requirements and preventing further detention. This position will not always take place in a traditional office setting. Staff will be required to conduct in-person outreach and engage with participants directly in community settings. Salary: The salary for the Outreach & Engagement Specialist is $50,393 (non-certified) - $55,167 (certified) per year. What You Will Be Doing: • Assist in bolstering supervision and case management efforts by working alongside pretrial clinical coordinators and case managers., • Provide services directly within community settings—such as participant homes, shelters, streets, provider locations, courthouses, and other local venues—through both planned and impromptu outreach/engagement visits to address issues concerning the participant., • Actively foster engaging relationships with individuals at risk of poor engagement and compliance in pretrial supervision by collaborating with community members to meet both formal and informal needs., • Carry out outreach independently and alongside pretrial staff to identify participants and establish trustful relationships that encourage compliance with pretrial supervision release conditions., • Promptly address requests from designated Case Coordinators to carry out community outreach visits for participants who have missed appointments, in order to offer reengagement support., • Be an active resource, meeting participants within the community to address their needs., • Engage in networking with key stakeholders, including both formal and informal entities, to bolster the success of community outreach efforts., • Act as an advocate and liaison for participants, providing direct in-person support while navigating social services., • Help ensure we maintain a safe working environment by reporting any hazards or unsafe conditions, e.g., liquid spill in hallway, to the appropriate facilities staff member or supervisor. Job Description Job Title: Peer Specialist Job Summary: We are currently seeking a Peer Specialist for our Intensive Services Unit (ISU). Rapidly after release into the program, the Peer Specialist will assist the Clinical team with conducting Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions required under the supervision plan. Additionally, the Peer Specialist will work alongside a clinician, together they will assist program participants and focus on delivering proactive field-based direct services and limited coverage at court. The ideal candidate for this role will serve as a reliable support to the ISU team, have great flexibility, creativity and persistence among other dynamic qualities. The Intensive Services Unit initiative will implement innovative approaches to working with individuals who have been placed in the Supervised Release Program and experience more extensive needs and challenges that may impact daily functioning and program engagement. The ideal candidate for this position will work well as part of a coordinated clinical team actively assisting all team members. The group of program participants manage challenges in mental health, substance use, employment, education, and medical health. Conducts a preliminary assessment of eligibility, prepare intake forms, see that the patient is afforded needed services from other disciplines within the agency, and make referrals to outside resources when necessary. Responsibilities: • On an ongoing basis, the Counselor holds regularly scheduled sessions with all his/her patients concerning their problems and psycho-social needs., • Serves as a Case Manager for each patient to ensure that services are coordinated to meet each assessed need., • Conducts therapy groups., • Assists patients in the identification of problems., • Works with patients in the definition of problems., • Ensures all necessary forms are completed., • Maintains accurate and confidential patient records., • Attends training seminars where instruction on treatment techniques and theories underlying these approaches are provided, and obtain the CASAC credential., • Identifies and records significant data in the case folder regularly. Develops treatment plans for presentation to the IDT., • Holds individual conferences with other disciplines when necessary to facilitate effective treatment throughout the agency., • Meets weekly for clinical supervision with the Behavioral Health Supervisor, concerning work performed, problems encountered in the treatment process, and for case conferences., • Refers to other clinic disciplines when appropriate., • Meets periodically with other staff to obtain feedback necessary for case management and treatment planning., • Performs all forensic collection for patients on their caseload and monitors for treatment related issues in order to update the treatment plan., • Provides vocational/educational assessment, counseling and follow-up for patients not assigned to the Vocational Specialist, as well as voc/ed support and follow-up of all patients as required., • Completes the Vocational Profile Form (HS 305) for each caseload patient., • Provides as an integral service, counseling toward vocational/educational readiness, motivation for vocational rehabilitation, provides initial evaluation for in-house voc/ed services, and provides exploration of voc/ed goals., • Provides patient referrals to the Vocational Specialist and Educational Specialist for in-depth evaluation, counseling and referral for voc/ed programs., • Provides case management, referral follow-up and supportive counseling to patients referred to in-house voc/ed programs and external job/school training., • Meets periodically with the Vocational Specialist and Education Specialist for case consultation and feedback., • Presents vocational treatment objectives at each IDT., • Counselors are expected to work on a rotation basis on Saturdays and select holidays. Assigned shifts may change at the discretion of the Clinical Director according to the needs of the Program., • CASAC (Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor) required, • Possess a demonstrated ability in delivering patient treatment including: communication skills, successful engagement in specialized Human Services training, understanding of human interaction and personality development, and the ability to write and record case documentation., • Familiar with Regulatory Agency Regulations regarding the operation and practices of patient care., • Understanding of group dynamics is essential., • Must be computer-literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office applications., • Competent in computerized programs that support treatment plans and case notes., • Excellent verbal and written communication skills., • Ability to participate in various committees and work well with others in team settings.

Summary: Under the direction of the Director of Clinical and Forensic Services, the Supervising Clinical Forensic Specialist is responsible for the supervision of Clinical Forensic Specialists and for the provision of direct forensic, mental health and victim advocacy and support services to clients at the Child Advocacy Center. The Supervising Clinical Forensic Specialist supports the Clinical and Senior Directors in coordinating CAC service provision, ensuring adequate program coverage, and providing guidance, direction and clinical expertise to a team of Clinical Forensic Specialists and the Multidisciplinary Team (MDT). Essential Job Functions: • Provides direct individual clinical, administrative and observational supervision to a team of three or more Clinical Forensic Specialists in accordance with the CAC’s quality supervision plan;, • Integrates a trauma-informed, client-centered approach, using an anti-oppressive lens, into all client practice and supervision of staff, and coaches staff to ensure all client practice reflects this approach;, • Collaborates with the Director of Clinical and Forensic Services, Multidisciplinary Team Coordinators and the Family Advocates overseeing the proper completion and submission of OVS claim applications and ECAP applications;, • Represents Safe Horizon at client conferences facilitated by ACS, Foster Care Agencies and/or Preventive Agencies to ensure the coordination of mental health, victim advocacy, medical and forensic services through the CAC;, • Collaborates with the Clinical and Senior Directors in implementing CAC quality improvement initiatives relating to forensic interviews, CCP, CCFE, and CFTSI;, • Conducts forensic interviews;, • Provides trauma focused intervention and support to child victims and their on-offending family members;, • Collaborates with the Clinical and Senior Directors in the preparation and presentation of cases for expedited case review and/or case review meetings with the MDT and actively participates in same;, • Collaborates with the Clinical and Senior Directors in the collection and review of data in REDCAP and CMS, and ensures timely and accurate data entry by the Clinical Forensic Specialists;, • Provides consultation to the MDT in areas of CAC best practice, forensic interviewing of children, client engagement, case management, and clinical and service delivery methods;, • Assists the Senior Director with program administration, statistical reporting and program enhancement and development;, • Participates in the recruitment, hiring and orienting of new staff;, • Supervises the activities of graduate interns as needed; Clinical Forensic Specialist Qualifications: • A Master’s Degree in Forensic Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, Social Work or a related field., • LMSW or MHC-LP is preferred., • Prior clinical supervision experience is required., • Demonstrated appreciation for the CAC multidisciplinary team program model and alignment with Safe Horizon’s anti-racism work, • Sound knowledge of child trauma, child development and issues relating to victimization., • Demonstrated experience working with children and families impacted by abuse and trauma is preferred.
