Job Description Warehouse Lead - 2nd Shift Location: Millville, NJ Industry: Warehousing / Logistics / Supply Chain Job Category: Warehouse Operations / Lead Compensation: ~$23/hour Shift: 2nd (4:00pm - 12:00am) Job Type: Full-Time, Onsite About the Opportunity A warehouse operation in Millville, New Jersey is seeking a Warehouse Lead to support day-to-day logistics and inventory operations while serving as a hands-on leader for the warehouse team. This role acts as a key support partner to the Warehouse Supervisor and serves as a backup site lead when needed. The Warehouse Lead will be responsible for coordinating receiving, inventory control, storage, and outbound logistics while helping train and guide warehouse staff. This is a working lead role requiring both operational execution and leadership on the floor. What You’ll Do • Serve as a working lead and backup to the site leader, supporting daily warehouse operations, • Supervise, coach, and help train warehouse staff, • Coordinate logistics activities from receiving through delivery, • Confirm receipt of materials and organize inventory within the warehouse, • Assist with inventory management, reconciliation, and documentation accuracy, • Track service provider performance and report operational status to the Warehouse Supervisor, • Help schedule and consolidate outbound shipments to reduce transportation costs, • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal partners, • Ensure all service commitments are met for quantity, quality, and timing, • Reinforce security protocols to protect materials at all stages of custody, • Support safety initiatives and maintain a safe, compliant work environment, • Assist with creating job protocols and ensuring adherence, • Monitor operational KPIs and assist with performance reporting, • Identify efficiency improvements to streamline processes and reduce costs, • Perform other duties as assigned What You Bring • 1+ year of supervisory or lead experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment, • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent hands-on experience in warehousing, logistics, or operations, • Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, • Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to analyze data and track performance, • Clear written and verbal communication skills, • Ability to build trust and lead collaboratively across teams and vendors, • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), • Forklift experience with ability to pass an internal forklift certification, • Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move materials up to 50 pounds, • Ability to pass a physical fitness assessment What’s Offered • Hourly pay around $23/hour (based on experience), • Stable, full-time onsite position, • Opportunity to step into leadership and grow within warehouse operations, • Hands-on leadership experience in a critical logistics environment
