Position Overview: Impact Recruiting Solutions is currently seeking a Nephrology Physician Assistant to fill an opening with a multi-specialty practice located in Bronx, New York. This role offers the opportunity to provide specialized care to patients with kidney-related conditions in a collaborative and supportive outpatient setting. Responsibilities: • Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, including medical histories, physical examinations, and renal function evaluations., • Assist in the diagnosis and management of kidney-related conditions such as chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte imbalances, glomerulonephritis, and end-stage renal disease., • Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests including blood work (creatinine, BUN, GFR), urinalysis, and imaging studies., • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising nephrologist., • Prescribe medications, including antihypertensives, diuretics, and phosphate binders, as appropriate., • Educate patients and families on kidney disease management, dietary modifications (fluid, sodium, potassium, phosphorus restrictions), medication adherence, and when to seek emergency care., • Coordinate care with dialysis centers, transplant teams, and other specialists within the multi-specialty practice., • Monitor patient progress through regular follow-up visits and adjust treatment plans as needed., • Maintain accurate, thorough, and timely documentation in electronic medical records., • Stay current with advancements in nephrology through continuing medical education and collaboration with supervising physicians. Requirements • Education: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program., • Licensure: Must have an active New York State license. Must be board-certified or board-eligible., • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Physician Assistant (not necessarily in Nephrology). Nephrology experience is a plus but not required., • Technical Skills: Proficient in patient assessment, diagnostic test interpretation, medication management, and electronic health records. Willingness to learn nephrology-specific procedures and treatments., • Soft Skills: Strong clinical judgment, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
