Job Description Industrial Painter – $25-$32/HR | 1st Shift | Overtime | Long-Term Work $25-$32 per hour based on experience and skill 1st Shift | Monday-Friday | 6:00 AM-2:30 PM Build a Long-Term Career in Industrial Painting Are you an experienced Industrial Painter looking for steady work, good pay, overtime, and long-term job security? You'll apply protective coatings and high-build epoxies to large structural steel assemblies, water control gates, hydraulic-driven hoists, and other custom steel fabrications used on major dam, hydro, and construction projects. What You'll Do • Apply industrial protective coatings to large structural steel assemblies and fabricated components, • Operate airless and air-powered paint sprayers, • Apply high-build epoxies according to project specifications, • Follow SSPC coating and painting practices, • Perform wet-film thickness, dry-film thickness, holiday, and other coating inspections using NDE equipment, • Evaluate surface preparation, including anchor patterns and blasting conditions, • Identify welds, excessive weld spatter, and other surface conditions requiring repair, • Estimate required paint quantities, materials, and application time, • Coordinate with the shop foreman regarding drying time, workspace, and material layout, • Maintain paint equipment, spray equipment, brushes, tools, and paint booth in clean working condition, • Follow OSHA, EPA, and company safety and environmental requirements, • Work safely from scaffolding when required, • Manage multiple projects and coating requirements while maintaining quality standards What We're Looking For • Previous industrial, commercial, structural steel, or production painting experience, • Experience using airless and/or air-powered paint sprayers, • Experience applying high-build epoxy coatings, • Ability to consistently achieve a uniform, quality coating application, • Ability to read and follow project specifications and coating requirements, • Ability to estimate paint/material quantities and job completion times, • Comfortable working from scaffolding, • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, • Ability to pass required paint/application testing, including a uniform application test, • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, • Vocational/technical training is a plus, but equivalent hands-on experience is valued Why Join Us? • $25-$32/hour based on experience and skill, • Steady, long-term work with a backlog through 2031, • Overtime opportunities, • 1st shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:00 AM-2:30 PM, • Career growth and opportunities to expand your industrial coating skills, • Established company with 53+ years of experience, • Small-company environment where your work and contributions matter Excellent Benefits • Medical insurance with a low HRA deductible, • Dental and vision insurance – 90% employer paid, • Short-term disability – 100% employer paid, • Long-term disability – 100% employer paid, • $50,000 life insurance policy – 100% employer paid, • 401(k) with 4% company match This Could Be a Great Fit If You Have Experience As: Industrial Painter | Production Painter | Structural Steel Painter | Commercial Painter | Spray Painter | Coatings Technician | Industrial Coatings Technician | Steel Painter | Blaster/Painter If you have hands-on industrial painting experience and want steady work, overtime, strong benefits, and a company where you can build a long-term career, apply today.
