Requirements: ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: • Maintain complete and thorough attendance of all students and staff each day. Check the school absentee list, site voice mail, and calling parents if child(ren) are absent, but scheduled. Submit attendance rosters, schedule changes, licensing paperwork, payroll and other reports as requested., • Ensure the safety of all children enrolled in the program by following the supervision standards in the Code of Conduct and Licensing Requirements. Maintain constant head counts when transitioning between different areas and activities., • Ensure that only the authorized parent/guardian or emergency contact signs a child in/out of the program and include recording time. Return rosters to office administration weekly, signed and dated., • Follow YMCA protocols for dealing with First-Aid and emergency situations. Complete necessary paperwork such as incident reports, medical log, etc., • Use positive group management techniques. Anticipate and deal with behavior problems in accordance with YMCA’s Discipline and Expulsion Policy., • Coach, guide and manage the day-to-day duties of group leaders/assistants., • Oversee and assign responsibilities each day including leading activities, helping with snack, homework support, restroom supervision, and clean up as required., • Ensure all staff function as positive role models and set a positive example through their behavior., • Address any staff performance issues that affect the program with guidance from Program Director/Assistant Director. Provide specific input/feedback for group leaders/assistants for Mid-Year and Year-End performance reviews., • Plan and implement a weekly curriculum incorporating quality physical activities, nutrition education, STEAM, educational projects and SEL activities to meet the purpose and vision of the Y program., • Promote Y Programs and Camps to families. Assist with planning and implementation of special events, including Annual Campaign., • Maintain a clean and sanitary program environment by ensuring supplies, equipment and tables are cleaned before and after snack or activities. Ensure children wash their hands before snack. Report any maintenance issues to the school custodians and the Assistant Director/Program Director., • Ensure the health and comfort of all children is maintained by providing attentive and hygienic care if they soil themselves, including for children in diapers, regular diaper changes as needed, ensuring cleanliness, following proper diaper-changing techniques to maintain the child’s health and comfort. Follow YMCA protocols for changing soiled underwear or disposable training pants., • Adhere to sanitation and health guidelines as required by the licensing or authorizing agency(ies) and MetroY policies and procedures., • Lead monthly fire safety drill and log results to meet Licensing requirements., • Complete 20 hours of professional development annually. Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: The Roving Maintenance Supervisor (RMS) will supervise, assign, and dispatch the maintenance team to make technical and mechanical repairs throughout the Children’s Rescue Fund portfolio, as per work orders. The RMS will supervise the Maintenance Team in general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, wall board repairs, plastering, painting, cement repairs, cabinets/countertop repairs and replacement, door/door lock repairs, wood, ceramic and vinyl floor repairs, cove and wall base installation, window/glass repairs, flashing of roofs as needed, assigned preventative maintenance duties, and any maintenance tasks not requiring a licensed contractor/vendor. they will also identify safety and risk management concerns related-to the physical needs of the properties; reports and recommends facility projects based on inspection outcome to AVP of Facilities, • In collaboration with the AVP of Facilities and DBO’s, coordinates and monitors facility repairs assigned to vendors, • Diagnose the source or cause of defect or problem, making repairs in accordance with established policies, procedures, safety standards, as well as code requirements, • Supports the facilities in completing major unit repairs, • Develop and follow-up on punch lists, • Follow procedures for procuring materials, supplies, equipment, and tools, • Maintain inventory at adequate levels for the Maintenance Team, • Assist with cost-cutting expense control, utilizing the Maintenance Team for portfolio repairs, • Report excess expenditures and make cost-saving recommendations, • Provides hands-on skills training to direct reports; Reporting to the Senior Manager, Facilities Management Team, the Senior HVAC Technician will perform all technical work necessary to inspect, maintain, repair, and modify HVAC system in our buildings. With expertise in HVAC – and to a lesser extent in construction and plumbing – in multi-family, schools, and commercial buildings, the successful candidate will be responsible for conducting minor HVAC projects and managing larger ones and ensuring they are completed on time and within budget. The Snr HVAC Tech will partner with senior Facilities team members and outside consultants on the planning, coordination, and supervision of mechanical construction and repair activities implemented by outside vendors, will ensure project timelines are met and ensure quality control standards are followed, mentor junior staff, and handle all HVAC-related communication with stakeholders. SEASONAL COMPENSATION STRUCTURE This is a part-time, seasonal position based in New York City. SportsHeads must be available to participate in pre-summer trainings (virtual and on-site) to complete pre-summer work expectations. Sports Heads must be available to work full summer camp hours from late June to the end of August. Monthly stipends & Pre-Summer Training StipendJune: $150 pre-summer stipendSports Heads only receive the full pre-summer stipend in June if they complete the required training and sports programming preparation from May-JuneRates will be prorated depending on progress Pre Summer Compensation - $375$150 for virtual trainings$150 for all 3 on-site training days$75 for an in-person field day in JuneTraining attendance is mandatory; you will only be paid for the trainings that you attend / complete on time.You must complete all virtual and in-person training. Note: Individual pay rates are based on camp enrollment (number of campers per week) and prior years of experience in similar roles and prior sports-related experience.
