Job Description Job Title: Packaging Lab Inspector Job Description The Packaging Lab Inspector is responsible for a variety of tasks involving the preparation and inspection of packaging materials in a laboratory setting. This role includes defatting raw materials, performing extractions, and maintaining equipment cleanliness. The inspector will also engage in aseptic processing, dialysis, and centrifuge operations. Additional duties involve making lab solutions, handling FTQ paperwork, and managing inventory control. The role requires a proactive approach to chores, such as maintaining scales and freezers, freeze drying, and dilution compounding. Familiarity with SAP duties and cross-training into aseptic filling operations is also part of this position. Responsibilities • Defat raw materials using ether and acetone, and perform drying and weighing., • Set up and manage extraction processes., • Conduct gross filtration, including set-up and cleaning., • Perform clarification and aseptic processing, ensuring proper set-up and cleaning., • Handle dialysis operations including filling bags and cleaning tanks., • Operate Bock Centrifuge for molds and inhalants., • Prepare lab solutions and reagents., • Distribute FTQ paperwork and manage inventory control requirements., • Perform various chores including maintenance of scales, freezers, and pH meters., • Load, reconstitute, and clean during freeze drying., • Operate Amicon DC-10 and Centrifuge DPR-6000., • Process materials using a Ball Mill., • Handle dilution compounding tasks., • Perform SAP-related duties including goods movements. This is a Contract to Hire position based out of PORT WASHINGTON, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $20.00/hr.
