Blank Street is in search of a Talent Acquisition Managerto lead and innovate our recruiting efforts across the US. We're seeking someone who thrives at both thinking strategically and getting things done. In this role, you'll own the end-to-end talent acquisition lifecycle for a growing brand, partnering closely with leaders across the business to hire exceptional talent for our stores and HQ team. You'll drive recruiting strategy, employer branding, and process improvement all while delivering an outstanding candidate experience in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is a fully in-person role based at our Brooklyn, NY HQ, reporting to the Senior Director of People. Who We're Looking For What You'll Own • Support the execution of hiring top talent at HQ, • Lead the execution of hiring an A+ barista and shift lead talent pool, • Deliver data driven insights to elevate hiring performance, • Innovate and evolve our recruitment strategy Requirements • 4+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition or Recruitment at a high-growth, consumer-focused brand, • Experience managing and building a team of direct reports is a plus., • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and drive them to completion, • Track record of building scalable, metrics-driven recruitment processes that incorporate continuous feedback and improvement, • Experience with compensation benchmarking and pay band research Benefits \& Perks: • $100,000 - $130,000 annual base salary, • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage. We are looking for a Staff Accountant to join Blank Street's US Accounting function. As Staff Accountant, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the financial health of Blank Street and supporting our Field and HQ teams. You will be responsible for a range of accounting functions including preparing monthly journal entries, supporting accounts payable and receivable, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting principles. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for contributing to a growing company. This role is an in-person position at our office in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. The Staff Accountant will report into the Global Accounting Manager. What You'll Own • Support the month-end close process, prepare journal entries, utilize accounting software to draft and finalize financial statements., • Support day-to-day accounting operations including processing invoices, tracking payments, and reconciling accounts. Ensure timely and accurate payments to vendors and proper recording of receivables., • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including bank and credit card reconciliations. Post journal entries and adjustments as needed., • Assist with payroll processing, including verifying timesheets and ensuring accuracy of payroll deductions and benefits., • Support in the preparation of all tax filings; including, but not limited to income tax forms, sales tax, 1099s, and payroll taxes., • Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures., • Work with leadership to prepare ad hoc reports and analyses as needed. Who You Are • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field., • 2-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a retail or hospitality environment or public accounting., • CPA certification or progress towards certification preferred., • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting., • Strong understanding of tax regulations and ability to work with external preparers, • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP system preferred., • Experience with Coupa or similar billing and invoicing accounting software., • Proficiency in Microsoft suite of products, particularly Excel (VLOOKUPS and Pivot Tables at a minimum)., • Strong ability to use logic and questioning to problem-solve and seek to understand information and data before acting., • Willingness to gain knowledge of other teams to help facilitate cross functional work., • Ability to handle delivery of multiple active tasks and responsibilities and can organize and prioritize work based on team needs., • CPA in progress / qualified highly preferred Benefits • $70,000 - 980,000 annual base salary + equity, • Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage.
