Job Description🔧 Maintenance Supervisor – Industrial Manufacturing | Leadership Role 📍 Tonawanda, NY 🏭 High‑Volume Engine Manufacturing Facility 💼 Full‑Time | Multi‑Shift Operation | Union Environment PAY: $30-35+/hr 🎯 About the Role We’re hiring a Maintenance Supervisor to lead maintenance strategy and support day‑to‑day operations across a high‑volume engine manufacturing facility that produces high‑performance V‑8 engines used in premium sports cars. In this leadership role, you’ll oversee a multi‑trade maintenance workforce responsible for keeping CNC machining centers, robotic material‑handling cells, torque‑controlled assembly equipment, automated test stands, and precision engine‑build systems running at peak performance. You will diagnose complex equipment issues, implement corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance the reliability of block and head machining lines, crankshaft production equipment, cylinder head assembly stations, hot-test dyno cells, coolant and oil delivery systems, and other engine production assets. This role is critical to maintaining high standards in safety, quality, throughput, and cost efficiency within a fast‑paced, highly automated manufacturing environment. 🛠 Key Responsibilities • Implement and uphold all corporate safety standards, plant policies, and housekeeping expectations, • Diagnose equipment issues, identify root causes, and implement both short‑ and long‑term corrective actions, • Support plant goals related to Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, and Cost, • Supervise construction, repair, and maintenance projects, • Maintain scheduling, resource planning, and quality requirements, • Train, develop, evaluate, and mentor maintenance staff, • Support compliance with Local and National Labor Agreement requirements, • Coordinate and communicate with internal teams and external vendors, • Lead and execute planned maintenance initiatives, • Ensure work is completed on time and within budget, • Promote and maintain a safe industrial work environment✔ Essential Skills, • Strong analytical problem‑solving ability for complex issues, • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints, • Knowledge of assembly processes and basic machine shop equipment, • Understanding of complex mechanical and electrical systems, • Strong safety knowledge and adherence to best practices, • Willingness to work any assigned shift, including weekends/holidays, with overtime, • Competency in basic math and trigonometry⭐ Additional Qualifications (Preferred), • Experience in machine assembly and/or facility maintenance, • Expertise in supervising a multi‑trade workforce, • Knowledge of tooling manufacturing and assembly processes, • Ability to gather data, conduct machine studies, and complete documentation, • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and email communication, • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, • Ability to collaborate with leadership on strategic and technical issues, • Successful completion of behavior‑based competency assessments (learning, decision‑making, teamwork, motivation, etc.), • Associate degree in Engineering or related field preferred, • Skilled trades training or equivalent technical training, • Competitive salary, • Comprehensive medical, dental & vision coverage, • 401(k) with company contributions, • Paid family leave, • Fertility, surrogacy & adoption reimbursement, • Tuition assistance & professional development programs, • Wellness resources: mental health, financial coaching, healthcare support, • Employee recognition programs & community involvement opportunities🏭 Work Environment, • Located in a large-scale engine manufacturing facility along the Niagara River, • High‑volume, precision‑driven environment with machining, automation, robotics, and assembly operations, • Fast‑paced production with strong emphasis on safety, housekeeping, and quality, • Modern facility with ongoing investment in automation, technology, and equipment upgrades, • Union‑represented workforce Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
