American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Telemetry for a travel nursing job in Phoenix, Arizona. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: Telemetry, • Discipline: RN, • Start Date: 11/03/2025, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 36 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Work in an acute care hospital on the Cardiac Telemetry (Tower 7) unit, • Care for post-op cardiovascular surgery and telemetry patients, including CABG, MVR, STEMI, HF, fundoplication, VATS decortication, and vascular repairs, • Nurse-to-patient ratios are typically 1:3 or 1:4, • 12-hour night shifts with self-scheduling options, • Must work a minimum of 3 weekend shifts in a 4-week schedule block, • Required to work 2 out of 4 major holidays, • No on-call or standby requirements, • May float to other applicable areas as needed, • Unit uses Cerner EMR system, • GE telemetry monitoring equipment used; tele techs monitor off-unit, • One PCT supports the 16-bed unit, • RT equipment includes CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula, • Responsibilities include telemetry monitoring, titrating cardiac drips, and providing care for post-surgical cardiac patients, • Travelers must complete a pass/fail SIMs lab on day 1 of orientation, covering sterile technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, • Failure to pass the required testing after two attempts will result in ineligibility for future assignments in the region for 6 months, • RN must wear navy blue scrubs, which are not provided by the facility, • Men must be clean-shaven for fit testing and all staff must have natural hair color and no facial piercings, • Holiday coverage required, with 2 major holidays per assignment block, • Floating to other similar units may occur as needed\n \n Requirements\n, • Active state or Compact (NLC) RN license required at time of consideration; pending licenses not accepted, • Current BLS certification required and must be active at time of consideration; pending certifications not accepted, • Minimum 2 years of RN experience required, • Level 1 trauma experience required, • Must be able to titrate drips including Heparin, Cardizem, and Amiodarone, • Competency in post-op cardiovascular surgery patient care highly recommended, • Ability to interpret common cardiac rhythms required, • Must pass a dysrhythmia exam prior to acceptance; two attempts allowed, • Driver's license is required for address verification; must live at least 50 miles from the facility, • Must provide two professional references: one from a supervisor within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from the last 3 years, • Returning candidates may not have been directly employed by the health system or its affiliates within the past year\n Benefits\n, • High Pay and Bonuses, • Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options, • 401(k) Plan, • Weekly Payroll Deposit, • Free Online CEUs, • Generous Housing Allowance, • Travel and Licensure Reimbursements, • Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy With thousands of travel nursing and allied jobs nationwide, our attentive and approachable recruiters find positions that align perfectly with your career aspirations and personal requirements.
