Nationwide Therapy Group is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU - Progressive Care Unit for a travel nursing job in Springfield, Illinois. Job Description & Requirements • Specialty: PCU - Progressive Care Unit, • Discipline: RN, • Duration: 13 weeks, • 48 hours per week, • Shift: 12 hours, nights, • Employment Type: Travel, • Deliver intermediate-level care for adult patients with complex medical, cardiac, neuro, trauma, surgical, and respiratory needs., • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias; monitor telemetry at the bedside; initiate rapid response interventions., • Provide cardiovascular care including post-angiogram, post-MI, pre/post cardiac cath, sheath removal, TR band management, and pre/post cardiac surgery., • Care for neuro/trauma patients: CVA, craniotomy, pre/post neurosurgery, spinal cord injury, TBI., • Manage respiratory support: ventilator care, tracheostomy management, HFNC, CPAP/BiPAP, ABG interpretation, chest tubes, non-invasive airway management., • Perform advanced IV therapy: arterial lines, PICCs, ports, central line care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, starting IVs., • Administer complex medications: cardiac drips (titration), vasoactive drips (titration), heparin, PCA, sedation protocols., • Support surgical and trauma patients: orthopedic trauma, joint replacements, skin grafts, drains, wound vacs., • Provide comprehensive care coordination, family communication, and discharge planning in a fast-paced IMC setting. Must demonstrate experience in cardiac, neuro, trauma, respiratory, and critical drips. Active IL RN license \n1+ years PCU/Stepdown or Neuro Stepdown experience (18 months preferred).\nCertifications: BLS and NIH required; ACLS strongly preferred\nTravel RN experience required.\nCerner EMR, teaching hospital, and Level I trauma experience preferred.
