Job DescriptionJob Title: ATF Machine Repair - Level III Job Location: Jamestown, NY, US Job Type: Full-Time (Onsite) Hours: 3rd shift, it would be 10p-6 or 7 am. But that time may vary a little based on work Job Summary: Troubleshoots, assembles, installs, tests and maintains mechanical systems using all necessary tools to keep equipment available and capable. Learns and understands the protocols of working safely with electricity and other energy sources with industrial equipment. May work independently and instruct and coach others. In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: • Keeping people safe by recognizing hazards, stopping work when necessary, and modeling strong HSE behaviors that support an injury free workplace., • Protecting the environment by understanding how maintenance activities affect energy use, waste, and emissions, and taking steps to minimize negative impact., • Raising the standard of equipment reliability through skilled troubleshooting, precise mechanical repairs, and disciplined preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance., • Strengthening product quality by applying high craftsmanship standards, following technical documentation, and providing valuable feedback that improves maintenance systems., • Reducing downtime by identifying root causes of failures, supporting uptime analysis, and scheduling maintenance activities in a way that aligns with production needs., • Sharing expertise by coaching less experienced team members, acting as an informal technical resource, and helping build a stronger, more capable maintenance team., • Improving operations by solving problems, removing manufacturing constraints, and participating actively in continuous improvement and TPM initiatives., • Supporting a collaborative culture through clear communication, teamwork with production and support groups, and ongoing personal development aligned with business needs. Qualifications and Competencies: To be successful in this role you will need the following: • The ability to build strong working relationships so collaboration with technicians, operators, engineers, and support teams leads to shared solutions and smoother operations., • A results driven mindset that keeps maintenance tasks, repairs, and troubleshooting efforts on track even when equipment issues are complex or time sensitive., • The skill to break down complicated technical information, analyze conflicting data, and make sound decisions that resolve problems efficiently., • A proactive commitment to health and safety, consistently identifying hazards, reporting concerns, and modeling behaviors that support an injury free, interdependent workplace., • A deep understanding of safety controls—electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic—and the discipline to apply safe practices every day to reduce risk and maintain a safe machine environment., • Solid manufacturing knowledge that allows you to implement process or equipment changes correctly and support continuous improvement across the operation., • The confidence to follow technical documentation, apply best practices, and adapt quickly when equipment, processes, or priorities shift., • A growth oriented approach that keeps your technical skills sharp and ensures you stay aligned with evolving business and production needs. Education/Experience: High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations. This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations. Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience. Qualifications for Internal Candidates To be successful in this role you will need the following: • Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to interpret schematics, manuals, and blueprints., • Ability to provide training, mentorship, and guidance to apprentices., • Willingness and ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production. — A 2-year technical degree in a related field, plus 3 years' experience working in the Machine Repair/Industrial Electrical field Machine Repair Specific: Knowledge of mechanical systems including hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyance systems, CNC equipment, and automation required. Responsible for completing machine layouts and machine installations.
