Our properties are open Monday through Friday from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM, and on Saturdays from 9:30 AM to 4:00 PM. Position Overview We seek a results-driven, dynamic, and experienced fundraising professional to join our Development team. The Institutional Relations Officer is a crucial frontline fundraising role for the Brennan Center. You will join a high-performing Development team that has raised $50-60 million in the last several fiscal years. The team is organized around three principal revenue sources: institutional donors, major donors (individuals and family foundations), and small and midlevel donors. The team also organizes an annual fundraising gala. The Officer will be responsible for securing major grants from institutional foundations and philanthropies – both existing and new donors. Job Description The Registered Nurse (RN) for Hope House on Crotona Park (HHCP) is a key member of our residential alternative to incarceration program, providing compassionate, trauma-informed nursing support to the sixteen (16) co-ed residents living within the Hope House residential program – a justice-involved population living with Serious Mental Illness (SMI) and, in many cases, co-occurring substance use disorders. The RN is responsible for medication administration, overseeing medication monitoring procedures, completing physical health assessments and assisting in the oversight of medical-related policies and procedures within the residential setting. The RN will ensure that medical and health-related services are delivered in accordance with New York State licensing standards and within the scope of professional nursing practice. Hope House will have an onsite licensed clinic to provide therapeutic and psychiatric services to residents as part of a multidisciplinary team. The RN will coordinate closely with the Program Director, Residence Supervisors, residential staff, Clinic Director and outside medical providers to integrate psychiatric clinical and medical care into each resident’s comprehensive treatment plan. Certified Recovery Peer Advocate services are peer-delivered services with a rehabilitation and recovery focus. The Certified Recovery Peer Advocate uses trauma-informed, non-clinical assistance to achieve long-term recovery from a behavioral health disorder.
