THE ROLE | HR&A Labs is seeking a Data Science and Analytics Specialist to support the rapid growth of our digital services offerings. This role is based in our New York office. This role is for early-career professionals with roughly 2-4 years of experience who want to grow into owning the substance of client and internal deliverables. The Sr. Peer Specialist provides services within the framework of the core principles of recovery and self-determination. The Sr. Peer Specialist will work at various sites to connect with participants, including the Manhattan courthouse, CASES’ Harlem office, and will visit participants in the community. CASES Short-term Alternatives and Referrals to Treatment (newSTART) program is a short-term alternative-to-incarceration (ATI) program that provides rapid screening, identification of need, and brief interventions (individual and group) for individuals with extensive low-level involvement in the criminal legal system. The program offers Case management services focusing on removing barriers to maintain housing by ensuring that all clients’ basic needs are met and that clients are connected to needed services, such as mental health and substance abuse. Scattered Site Housing Program provides 270 scattered site-housing units to HIV/AIDS Services Administration (HASA) clients. All the units are leased in the agency’s name. Case management staff focusses on removing barriers to maintain medical care and achieve viral suppression by ensuring that all clients’ basic needs are met and that clients are connected to needed services, such as mental health and substance abuse. The operations component focuses on the housing units meeting habitability standards by working with landlords and management companies to address major repair issues and complete minor repairs, as well as identifying new units, negotiating leases, and making units ready when there is a vacancy. Case Planners must be comfortable working with youth and families in the context of the facility, the office and in the community of origin. Job Description PRIMARY FUNCTION/PURPOSE: Assist in guidance of housing relocation specialists in assisting homeless families with relocation into permanent housing. Identify, research, and disseminate information on and making use of, housing resources; and facilitate a smooth transition for families who are relocating to permanent housing. High School diploma or G.E.D. Good written and verbal communication skills in English. Basic computer and data entry skills. Must be provisionally certified or credentialed, certified or credentialed as a Family Peer Advocate (FPA), Certified Recovery Peer Advocate (CRPA), Youth Peer Advocate (YPA), and/or Peer Specialists who have completed all required State approved trainings specific to their title (NYS Certified Peer Specialist).
