Licensed Required Department: Customs Brokerage Level: Manager/Supervisor Overview: Salary Range: $85,000–$125,000 Position Summary The Import Manager directs and manages the activities of the import department within a branch, ensuring all import activities—both transportation and customs brokerage—are in compliance with regulatory requirements. The position of Risk Control Representative is an essential job within the Risk Management Department, responsible for assisting clients in reducing the likelihood and impact of losses by identifying operational risks, recommending safety and compliance improvements, and supporting the implementation of best practices—ultimately helping protect people, property, and the organization's insurability and cost of insurance. Additionally, this position will promote all of Lamb's Risk Management services, support Senior Risk Consultants in the servicing of Executive level accounts, as well as keeping Account Managers informed with the most up-to-date information regarding their clients. Responsibilities: • Work on special projects or respond to general risk control inquiries from clients who may range from Small Business to Executive level in size, • Assist with information analysis and the development of new risk management resources and/or services as needed under the direction of the Risk Control Manager and/or Senior Management., • Conduct on-site hazard assessments for Lamb clients and submit Risk Control Analysis Reports. These Risk Control Analysis Reports will contain information to the client to correct potential loss producing conditions associated with the brokered policies, • Conduct follow-ups to carrier recommendations and communicate accordingly with internal and external stakeholders., • Attend and participate in client Safety / Risk Management committee meetings as scheduled, sharing relevant industry information, resources, and training to aid clients in implementing safety management strategies., • Assist clients in completing annual reports to renew their premium credits under Industrial Code Rule 60's Workplace Safety & Loss Prevention Incentive Program (WSLPIP), • Implement risk management best practices using generally accepted project management and consulting practices., • Build and maintain positive working relationships with clients, Producers, Account Managers, Claim Advocates, and carrier partners., • Oversee and/or attend special Lamb events or attend trade shows. As the Benefit Design Manager, you will: • Support benefit program design by tailoring Maven's offerings to address client-specific needs and market benchmarks., • Partner with Sales and Marketing to develop and refine pitch materials, train sales teams on benefit programs, and act as a subject matter expert (SME) both behind-the-scenes and in client meetings., • Participate in prospective client and broker/consultant meetings, articulating Maven's value proposition and responding to benefit-related technical questions., • Respond to technical and complex benefit design questions during RFPs and follow-up discussions, including compliance-related topics, ensuring Maven's offerings are clearly and accurately represented., • Support new client implementations by advising on plan design decisions, documenting benefit requirements, and ensuring accurate setup and member communication., • Provide benefit design support for Maven's fertility benefits clients, serving as a subject matter expert for existing clients by partnering with Maven's Client Success team to attend QBRs, address ad hoc requests for benefit analyses, and ensure ongoing alignment of program design with client goals., • 4–5 years of experience in benefit design, health & benefits consulting, or implementation at a health plan, TPA, or fertility benefit vendor., • A strong understanding of fertility and family-building benefit design, including coverage models, eligibility, compliance, funding approaches, and ecosystem integration., • Client-facing experience, with the ability to communicate complex benefit concepts clearly to diverse audiences., • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills., • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality, ensuring that all deliverables—from client presentations to internal documentation—are accurate, polished, and error-free from start to finish. The examiner will be responsible for handling of specialty lines claims and management oversight of TPA claims as well as some handling of individual claim files, collaborating with underwriters throughout the claims process and marketing BHSI Claim Service to customers. Duties & Responsibilities: • Responsible for the oversight, managing and adjusting of primary and TPA claims to include; commercial auto, general casualty, errors & omission, accident & health, homeowner and commercial property claims. Ensure high level of customer service and technical claim file quality., • Duties include proactive handling of claims from first notice of loss through ultimate resolution, working and advising internal partners on claims, developing a plan of action for ultimate resolution, obtaining budgets and meeting with clients and brokers., • Perform audits of TPA claims., • Process monthly funding for TPA accounts., • Provides outstanding customer service and works well with the insured, broker and TPA in the handling and adjudication of claims., • Analyze and draft coverage letters as appropriate and communicates coverage positions effectively., • Conducts, coordinates, and proactively directs investigation, defense and settlement of claims., • Directs and closely monitors assignments to experts and defense counsel., • Evaluates information on coverage, liability, and damages to determine the extent of exposure to the insured and the company., • Drafts reports, sets reserves within authority or make claim recommendations concerning reserve changes., • Travels to audits, conferences, mediations, and trials as necessary Qualifications, Skills, and Experience: • 5+ years of multi-line claim handling experience or matching equivalency; and be able to demonstrate technical competence in the handling of specialized program claims., • College degree preferred., • Ability to work independently and assimilate learning materials on many different subjects from various sources., • Excellent interpersonal communications and negotiation skills., • Ability to work in a team environment., • Should have technical competence in all aspects of multi-line claims with particular emphasis on customer service., • Experience in handling and adjusting claims in all 50 states and possess required licenses.
