Job Description Job Title: Second Shift Site Manager Location: Elmwood Park, New Jersey Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time Pay Rate: $90,000 - $110,000 annually (depending on experience) Shift: Monday to Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM (flexibility required up to 12:00 AM and occasional Saturdays) Job Summary The Second Shift Site Manager will lead and coordinate all second shift operations across Manufacturing, Warehouse, Maintenance, Quality, and Safety departments in a food manufacturing facility. This role ensures operational efficiency, regulatory compliance, and a safe, productive work environment while driving performance and fostering team engagement. This position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 - $110,000 annually, depending on experience. Key Responsibilities • Oversee second shift operations to meet production, warehouse, and maintenance goals., • Ensure compliance with GMP, HACCP, SQF, and sanitation standards., • Supervise department supervisors and hourly staff., • Plan labor and production schedules to meet demand and optimize efficiency., • Monitor production formulations and batching for product quality., • Drive KPIs including yield, throughput, waste, and downtime., • Manage warehouse inventory: receiving, storage, FIFO, and handling., • Coordinate maintenance activities and escalate critical issues., • Promote safety culture and enforce OSHA and plant safety policies., • Utilize digital tools (e.g., Red Zone, ERP/WMS) for tracking and communication., • Lead shift handoff and KPI meetings with cross-functional teams., • Act as senior decision-maker during second shift., • Train and coach team members to uphold company values., • Participate in HACCP and food safety initiatives. Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Engineering, Operations Management, or equivalent experience., • 5+ years of leadership in food manufacturing or related environment., • Proven experience managing cross-functional teams., • Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, SQF, and regulatory standards., • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies., • Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred., • Proficient in digital production systems (Red Zone, ERP/WMS)., • Strong leadership, multitasking, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Skills • Experience with production paperwork and batch documentation., • Background in fryer or thermal processing environments., • Flexibility to work second shift hours and occasional weekends/holidays.
