Job Description Clinical Director (LCSW) Full-Time | Hybrid | Union City, NJ Salary: $90,000-$100,000 We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Clinical Director (LCSW) to lead all clinical operations within our Union City-based practice. The ideal candidate is a strong clinical leader with a passion for high-quality patient care, staff development, and regulatory compliance. This role oversees clinical workflows, supervises clinicians, ensures documentation quality, and drives the clinical vision of the organization. The Clinical Director will also maintain a reduced caseload and support the ongoing development of specialty programs and service expansion initiatives. This is a hybrid role, combining in-office and remote work. Key Responsibilities Clinical Oversight & Leadership • Serve as the primary clinical resource for staff including LCSWs, LSWs, APNs, and interns., • Develop, implement, and enhance clinical policies, procedures, and best practices., • Ensure full compliance with NJAC regulations, CMS guidelines, insurance requirements, and HIPAA., • Provide guidance on clinical risk management, crisis situations, and escalated patient concerns. Supervision & Staff Development • Provide weekly or bi-weekly individual and/or group supervision to LSWs and interns., • Lead onboarding, training, and competency development for new clinicians., • Conduct performance evaluations and support ongoing professional growth plans. Quality Assurance & Documentation • Review and approve treatment plans, progress notes, clinical assessments, and discharge summaries., • Ensure clinical documentation meets all medical necessity and billing standards., • Conduct routine chart audits, documentation reviews, and compliance checks. Program Development • Assist with enhancement and expansion of specialty programs (e.g., anxiety, depression, trauma, child/adolescent therapy)., • Promote integration of evidence-based treatment models and updated clinical frameworks., • Collaborate with leadership on strategic planning, program innovation, and service-line development. Client Care • Maintain a reduced caseload to provide high-quality psychotherapy services., • Manage crisis interventions and coordinate referrals as needed. Administrative Responsibilities • Participate in leadership meetings and contribute to organizational decision-making., • Support the internship program and maintain partnerships with universities and training programs., • Oversee HIPAA compliance across all clinical functions., • Assist with staff recruitment, interviewing, and policy updates when needed. Qualifications • Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution., • Active New Jersey LCSW license in good standing (required)., • Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience; supervisory experience strongly preferred., • Solid understanding of evidence-based treatment models and ethical practice standards., • Exceptional communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
