JOB SUMMARY: As part of our Youth Services Department’s vision: all Youth Services Staff will assist in promoting growth, leadership and positive self-image in all young people at all of our Grand Street Settlement sites. Group Leaders will promote and develop a safe and engaging learning environment for youth. Homework help, recreational activities, literacy and math lessons are integral parts of this activity. In the end, students will be able to maintain an academic focus while engaging in hands on learning with classmates and fellow peers. Job Description Job Title: Case Coordinator, Bronx SRP Job Summary: CASES (Center for Alternative Sentencing and Employment Services) is currently seeking a Case Coordinator for our Bronx Pretrial Services team. Rapidly after release into the Supervised Release Program (SRP), the Case Coordinator conducts Supervision Introduction/Orientation meetings with new participants to review supervision conditions required under the supervision plan. In this role, you will help participants comply with their supervision appointments and court appearances during their legal case's pendency. You will also conduct ongoing service need assessments with participants and develop collaborative service plans addressing identified needs and goals. You will ensure participants receive services that are strengths-based, gender-specific, and culturally sensitive while adhering to the core principles of risk, need and responsivity to reduce recidivism, increase engagement in community treatment services and support participants to achieve their self-identified goals for treatment, recovery, rehabilitation, and crime-free community integration. CASES’ Supervised Release Program (SRP) annually diverts 5,500 people otherwise facing pretrial detention at Rikers Island to community-based supervision and support services. Program participants include youth and young adults, people with substance use disorders and mental illnesses, and individuals who are homeless. SRP participants have not been found guilty of a crime and are not mandated to engage in treatment or other services. This requires staff to tactfully deliver approaches to help participants tap into their intrinsic motivation to leverage their strengths and skills for meaningful life improvements while fulfilling all court requirements. This position is based in our Bronx Community Office and fieldwork in the larger NYC community as needed to assist participants. Salary: The salary for the Case Coordinator role is $59,410.00 per year. Shift Hours: The Case Coordinator position is full-time, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. Primary Responsibilities: • Assist Yankees Digital & Social Content Team with daily game day needs, including shooting corporate signage, special events, game action, product shoots, ticketing events, fan experience, pregame ceremonies and other projects as assigned, • Help archive, label, transcribe, and organize footage from interviews, b-roll, and game action, • Other basic video production and office management-related tasks, as assigned, • Monitor social media trends and present new ideas to enhance the current content strategy, • Shooting and editing social-focused videos for all social platforms, • Assist with on-site production for gameday and non-gameday events, • Assist the Digital & Social Content Department with other projects as assigned Qualifications and Experience: • Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines while making an impact on the team’s digital and social media presence, • Strong interpersonal communication skills and the ability to interact and communicate with individuals on all levels, in both written and verbal form, • Strong familiarity with professional camera equipment, including Canon cameras and lenses, • Experience with lighting and audio equipment to ensure high-quality production standards, • Experience with Adobe editing systems, including Adobe Photoshop, After Effects, and Premiere, • High attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task, • Knowledge of Major League Baseball and the New York Yankees, • Bachelor’s degree preferred, • Flexible work schedule and ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays Portfolio Submission Please include a portfolio of your work, which may be submitted via a link, website, or social media page. We are seeking an intern to provide video, editing, production, research and administrative support to staff in our Communications department with our Multimedia team. Note: This internship is in-person at our New York City office. Responsibilities: All interns will assist with general research and administrative work for the Brennan Center, including coordinating meetings, and drafting routine correspondence.
