Experience Proven experience in driving, including transit bus operation, school bus driving, truck driving with a strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations. Knowledge of emergency response procedures for transportation situations such as accidents or medical emergencies; CPR certification is a plus. What You’ll Do • Represent SelesTeres at local markets and events, • Welcome shoppers and introduce them to our brand and products, • Learn our skincare collection and confidently recommend products, • Explain ingredients, product benefits, and current promotions, • Actively engage customers and help drive sales, • Upsell and cross-sell naturally while providing excellent customer service, • Process customer purchases accurately, • Set up, maintain, and break down an attractive market display, • Keep products and inventory organized, • Pick up and return products and market equipment from our Whitestone, Queens studio when required We’re Looking for Someone Who Is • Warm, friendly, outgoing, and comfortable approaching people, • Naturally sales-oriented and motivated to achieve strong market-day sales, • Reliable, punctual, and responsible, • Comfortable working independently, • Professional in appearance and communication, • Organized and attentive to detail, • Interested in skincare, beauty, wellness, or handcrafted products, • Available on Saturdays and/or Sundays, including some early mornings, • Physically comfortable assisting with market setup, breakdown, boxes, tables, and displays Previous sales, retail, beauty/skincare, farmers market, event, or customer-service experience is preferred, but the right personality, reliability, and willingness to learn are equally important. Transportation — Required You must have a valid driver’s license and reliable personal vehicle with enough space to transport market inventory and setup materials.Some market days will require picking up products and equipment from our Whitestone studio, transporting them to the event, and returning them afterward. Schedule This is a part-time, event-based weekend position. Most events take place on Saturdays and/or Sundays, with some requiring early-morning setup.Additional markets, seasonal events, and pop-ups may be available for someone who becomes a strong and reliable member of our team.     Job Summary The General Manager / Assistant General Manager provides strategic leadership, operational oversight, and financial management for our food distribution facility. This role is directly responsible for ensuring peak supply chain efficiency, strict cold chain integrity, regulatory compliance, and a safety-first warehouse culture. You will manage everyday operations—spanning inbound inventory, fleet logistics, vendor relations, and P&L accountability—while mentoring a high-performing operations team to achieve company growth targets. Core Responsibilities Operational Leadership & Fleet Logistics • Direct all day-to-day warehouse operations, including inbound receiving, quality control, inventory management, picking, and staging., • Oversee outbound fleet logistics, ensuring optimal route design, Department of Transportation (DOT) compliance, and on-time delivery metrics., • Maintain a continuous improvement culture to maximize warehouse space and reduce cycle times. Food Safety & Regulatory Compliance • Enforce absolute compliance with FDA, USDA, OSHA, and local Department of Health regulations., • Guarantee the strict execution of Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) programs and standard operating procedures (SOPs)., • Act as the primary point of contact for all external facility audits and government inspections. Financial & Vendor Management • Hold full P&L accountability, actively managing operational budgets, capital expenditures, labor costs, and shrinkage rates., • Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify cost-saving initiatives and revenue leakages., • Negotiate strategic service contracts with third-party freight carriers, equipment maintenance vendors, and product suppliers. Team Development & Culture • Recruit, train, mentor, and evaluate warehouse supervisors, drivers, customer service representatives, and sales staff., • Cultivate a transparent, accountable, and rewarding work environment focused on high employee retention and safety., • Oversee labor scheduling and workplace performance metrics to keep operations nimble and properly staffed across all shifts. Required Qualifications • Education: Bachelor’s degree or above (MBA preferred) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a closely related field., • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of progressive leadership experience in a high-volume distribution or warehousing facility (food or beverage industry required)., • Logistics Acumen: Deep understanding of First-In, First-Out (FIFO) inventory rotation, food traceability protocols, and shelf-life tracking.
