Job DescriptionDescription: Maxxima is an established LED lighting and electrical supply brand serving the consumer home and transportation markets. We are seeking a Product Sourcing Associate to support our ecommerce division, MaxximaStyle, as we continue expanding our portfolio of 500+ product SKUs. This role works closely with our Sourcing Manager to support sourcing, procurement, and product development, as well as vendor management and category management. The ideal candidate will help manage supplier relationships primarily with overseas manufacturers in China, while conducting market research and competitive analysis to support the continued growth of our product line. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented sourcing or procurement professional to work closely with our Sourcing Manager on key product sourcing initiatives. You’ll coordinate new product onboarding, support supplier performance evaluations, and collaborate with marketing and engineering on packaging, manuals, and other product content. Please note that this role requires full-time onsite attendance at our headquarters in Hauppauge, NY. Key Responsibilities: • Support product sourcing, product development, and procurement for new and existing products, including LED lighting, smart home, Wi-Fi technology, and electrical accessories, • Collaborate with current overseas manufacturing suppliers and help identify new global sourcing opportunities, primarily from China and other Asian markets, • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends, new product opportunities, and potential supplier partnerships, • Support negotiations for pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to ensure quality and cost efficiency, • Coordinate the submission, inspection, and documentation of product samples, • Maintain detailed product specifications, sourcing records, and vendor information within internal databases, • Partner with cross-functional teams, including marketing, engineering, and quality assurance, to support new product launches and supplier communications, • Monitor supplier performance and assist in addressing any quality, production, or delivery issues, • Assist with purchase planning and scheduling to align with inventory and sales forecasts, • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s degree preferred in business, supply chain management, logistics, procurement, or related field, • 2–5 years of experience in product sourcing, procurement, or supply chain operations, • Basic understanding of sourcing, procurement, and supply chain processes, • Experience working with overseas suppliers or manufacturers, • Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment with a sense of urgency, • Proven ability to analyze product data, identify sourcing opportunities, and solve problems independently and as part of a team, • Excellent communication and relationship-management skills, • Strong organizational and project coordination abilities, • Opportunity to directly influence the growth of an expanding ecommerce product line, • Exposure to global sourcing and supplier management, • Collaborative team environment with strong cross-departmental involvement, • Paid time off plus a paid volunteer day with one of our partner nonprofits, • 401(k) with company match and eligibility, • Generous benefits package with highly subsidized medical coverage and healthcare concierge services, • Company-paid life insurance and voluntary dental & vision coverage, • Access to our Employee Assistance Program (EAP), • Save on our products and enjoy exclusive team member perks, • Discounts to concerts, movies, and theater Maxxima is a division of Panor Corp.
