Ideal candidates will have the following: • Beginner to Proficient skills with MS Project, Excel, and SharePoint, • Proficient in MS Word and Adobe Acrobat, • Beginner at contract review and amendment;Beginner to Proficient in project financials, • 1 to 2 years of experience in industry or related field, • Bachelors degree desired, • Proven skills in analyzing and solving problems, • Understanding of Project Lifecycle, • Excellent time management skills, detail-oriented, and adept at prioritizing among multiple tasks with competing deadlines, • Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, • Ability to work well independently and on a team Responsibilities: • Assists with all aspects of the project, including scheduling support; coordination with clients, subcontractors, and project teams; coordination of field logistics; invoicing; deliverables coordination and production; written and verbal correspondence; and project reports, contract management, budget tracking, and forecasting., • Supports Project Manager and project throughout the project lifecycle., • Participates as needed in project meetings in coordination with project manager; track deliverables; update project schedules; and identifies project risks and works to mitigate outcome., • Prepares standard and subconsultant agreements and amendments for clients and subconsultants., • Assists with reviewing the scope statement and create a work breakdown structure., • Assist with monitoring the budget and managing to Estimate at Completion by utilizing Earned Value management., • Analyze monthly burn, identify need for a change order, and initiate change orders according to contract., • Request project setup via SharePoint app and confirms project has been set up correctly in BST using information from contract., • Understands how to pull and read reports from BST to help project manager manage project financialsincluding project summary, project detail, receivable aging detail, project forecasts, pay when paid, and payable aging., • Coordination with Finance team to resolve billing issues., • Meeting facilitation, meeting notes, and action item tracking. As a Sr. Solar & Battery Storage Project Developer at Centrica Business Solutions, you will assist in the development of solar and solar and storage projects across North America. The Solar & Battery Storage Project Developer will work closely with business development, management, engineering, project management, and construction staff to identify, assess and structure technical and financial solutions for customers' renewable and energy efficiency needs. The Solar Developer will lead the project through Pre-Construction due diligence to contract. The Solar & Battery Storage Project Developer possesses a strong technical aptitude and the communication and business acumen to translate customer needs into technical guidelines. Open to flexible work schedules working fully remote or hybrid but must be able to travel occasionally. Our Solar & Battery Storage Project Developers contribute to the team by: • Act as technical lead for the team of Developers in the region, • Creating and managing cashflow models to capture all revenue streams specific to solar and storage projects., • Assisting in management of incentive program enrollment for all projects, track timelines to ensure completion within target deadlines, and submit final documentation to secure program funding., • Coordinating with the project development team and with the financing partner, communicating project updates and milestones achieved, providing transparency, and assisting in document sharing., • Overseeing and/or performing the Helioscope design and budgeting of projects., • Auditing sites as needed for PV solar installation suitability, environmental limitations, structural limitations, etc., • Developing professional quality proposal content for technically complex, multi-site PV solar and battery storage systems (BESS) installations., • Managing 3rd party vendor relationships and Scope of Work/proposals. (i.e. Electrical and Structural partners) ., • Developing proposals, reports and presentations in collaboration with the Solar Analyst., • Networking within the industry. The core components of success are (i.e. must haves): • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, Business, or a related field. OR Bachelor’s in Distributed Energy/Generation., • 6+ years of work experience in the solar industry and or Engineering and Operations., • Experience in commercial and industrial Solar projects is required with demonstration of full life cycle project experience from concept to performance. A clear set of completed solar projects that have been screened, audited, designed, installed, interconnected and commissioned with Permission to Operate., • Experience in renewable financial modeling: demonstrated ability to maintain Excel based energy modeling., • Understanding of construction of solar PV and BESS projects., • Helioscope modeling skills (preferred), • Good technical skills relating to Behind the Meter interconnection, inverters, racking, and overall system design for solar PV projects ranging from 100kW to 5MW DC., • Past experience and an up-to-date knowledge of best practices as they relate to solar and storage projects (preferred), • Valid Driver’s License; Travel required with employee’s automobile.
