Redefine Healthcare is seeking a dedicated, full-time Surgical Coordinator Assistant to support our expanding team of healthcare professionals at our Hackensack, Bayonne, Clifton, Edgewater, Jersey City, North Arlington, Orange Offices. The Surgical Coordinator Assistant will work closely with the Surgical Coordinator and clinical teams to support surgical scheduling, patient communication, and administrative coordination. Job Title: Surgical Coordinator AssistantSalary/Pay Rate: $20-22/hourHours: Up to 40 hours per weekJob Type: Full-time Benefits: Paid time off, sick time, health insurance (medical, dental, vision, accident, and critical illness), life insurance, 401(k) with Company match, yearly bonus Job Duties (include but are not limited to): * Assist with coordinating surgical procedures between physicians, patients, and surgical facilities * Support the maintenance and accuracy of surgical schedules * Communicate pre-operative instructions, preparation details, and post-operative requirements to patients under guidance of the Surgical Coordinator * Assist with insurance verification, eligibility checks, and benefit confirmation for surgical services * Serve as a support point of contact for patients, surgeons, and operating facilities * Track surgical authorizations and assist the authorization team as needed * Maintain accurate patient and surgical documentation within the electronic health record (EHR) * Help resolve scheduling issues or delays and escalate concerns appropriately * Perform ad hoc projects and additional duties as assigned by management Minimum Education or Experience Requirements: * High school diploma or GED required * 1–2 years of experience in medical scheduling, care coordination, or administrative healthcare support preferred * Basic knowledge of medical terminology and surgical workflows preferred * Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills * Proficiency with electronic health records (EHR) and scheduling systems
