The AMI Preservation program (AMIP) is charged with preserving and providing access to the Research Libraries’ extensive collection of audiovisual materials—including historical recordings and at-risk 20th-century media formats—through digitization and stringent preservation standards. Reporting to the Manager of Audio and Moving Image Preservation, the Engineer will oversee the operation of one of two AMIP audio digitization labs, ensuring that daily audio digitization operations and quality standards are met while maintaining a robust pipeline of preservation work. The ideal candidate is highly skilled in audio digitization and preservation, organized, and efficient. While located at the Library for the Performing Arts, the Engineer will carry out the preservation assessment, treatment, and reformatting of recordings held across the Research Libraries. Job Description Job details Pay $60,000.00 - $64,000.00 per year Job type • Full-time, • 8-hour shift, • Health insurance, • Paid time off, • Dental insurance, • 401(k), • Vision insurance, • Employee discount Qualifications: • NJ Teacher Certification with P-3 endorsement, • Knowledge of the Creative Curriculum and Gold/Coaching to Fidelity, • Knowledge of Early Childhood Classroom Management and Assessment, • Experience working with preschool students, • Ability to work collaboratively with staff, administration, and families Responsibilities • Attend to children's basic needs and supervision, • Teach basic skills, such as color, shape, number and letter recognition, personal hygiene, and social skills utilizing our curriculum., • Establish and enforce rules for behavior and procedures for maintaining order., • Organize and lead activities designed to promote physical, mental, and social development, such as games, arts and crafts, music, storytelling, and field trips., • Observe and evaluate children's performance, behavior, social development, and physical health using our online assessment program., • Identify children showing signs of emotional, developmental, or health-related problems and discuss them with supervisors, parents or guardians, and child development specialists., • Meet with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs, determine their priorities for their children, and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development., • Enforce all administration policies and rules governing students., • Arrange indoor and outdoor spaces to facilitate creative play, motor-skill activities, and safety in keeping with ECERS standards., • Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations., • Prepare lesson plans and reports on students and activities as required by administration., • Organize and label materials and display students' work in a manner appropriate for their ages and perceptual skills and in keeping with ECERS standards., • Attend professional meetings, educational conferences, and teacher training workshops to maintain and improve professional competence., • Confer with other staff members to plan and schedule lessons promoting learning, following approved curricula., • Proven experience as a Preschool Teacher, • Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods, • Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms, • Excellent communication and instructional skills, • Ability to act as a mediator between children, • Cool-tempered, friendly, and reliable, • Certification in child CPR, • Able to work with technology in general, including laptops, PCs, I-Pads, Smart Boards, Apps on iPhones, • Supportive of all individuals and families. Job Description Roles, Responsibilities, and Essential Duties * Planning the program, including daily and long range lesson plans. * Implementing the curriculum and daily activities. * Supervising and managing the classroom. * Maintaining a safe environment at all times. * Maintaining professional attitudes and loyalty to the school. * Conducting twice yearly parent conferences with all parents. * Preparing progress reports 3 times a year for all children. * Writing and preparing all school reports for children who are transferring to other schools. * Writing observations for children and maintaining an observation book. * Participating in professional workshops that work for the improvement of early childhood education. * Leading weekly team meeting for classroom planning and updates. * Maintaining confidentiality about children, their families, and other employees outside the school. * Conducting yearly screenings of all children. * Supervising outside play yard activities. * Meet with supervisor (director) weekly. * Submit weekly lesson plans to director. * Familiar with Google Classrooms Qualifications/Educational Requirements * Certified with a Master’s Degree in ECE or in a program which will guarantee permanent certification at its completion. * Must have 2+ years of experience in Early Childhood; * Must have significant experience working as an Assistant Teacher in Early Childhood * Must have 1+ years of experience working with children ages 3-5 years old * Must be DOI Fingerprinted/ PETS * Must be able to pass the state background check * Current CPR/First Aid Training a plus * Current DOE & DOH mandated trainings a plus * Must be able to relate well to children and employees * Must be willing to fulfill responsibilities in accordance with the school’s educational philosophy Skills, Knowledge and Abilities * Bilingual preferred * Ability to work independently and as a team * Ability to take initiative in work assignments * Ability to work flexible hours and be flexible with the children * Must be highly organized * Must have the ability to prioritize workload * Must be Creative * Must be Patient * Knowledge of Google Classroom preferred * Must have a good sense of humor and enjoy working with children * Additional skills in music, dance, sports, etc. a plus * Must be able to use tablet and online applications * Must be able to communicate effectively with parents and teaching team * Must have basic technology skills * Ability to use a tablet & Apps * Work experience providing services to children and families. * Writing sample required Physical Requirements * Ability to lift and bend up to 50lbs * Ability to get down on the floor and play outside with the children Work Environment Classroom Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 35 or 37.5 hours/week between the hours of 7:30am and 6:00pm. Workdays/hours subject to change based on program needs. There is NO remote work allowed. Travel Travel may be necessary from one site to another for staff coverage purposes.
