Job Summary: The Retail Sales Associate is responsible for assisting customers at our Salt Lake City retail store at Trolley Square Mall. The Sales Associate will be in charge of guiding customers through the shopping process, from the initial greeting to the final purchase. By providing insight and support, youll help strengthen our customer relationships and convert new patrons into repeat shoppers. Duties and Responsibilities: Customer Interaction: • Greet customers warmly and engage in conversations to understand their preferences and requirements., • Provide knowledgeable and enthusiastic assistance to customers interested in e-bikes., • Stay up-to-date on the latest e-bike models, technologies, and industry trends., • Clearly communicate the technical specifications, advantages, and unique selling points of each e-bike model., • Guide customers through the sales process, from initial inquiry to final purchase., • Provide accurate pricing information, explain financing options, and address customer concerns., • Upsell accessories and additional services to enhance the overall customer experience., • Educate customers on the benefits of e-bikes, including environmental impact, cost savings, and health benefits., • Ensure daily the cleanliness and tidiness of the shop floor, including display areas and test ride zones., • Follow safety protocols and promote a safe environment for both customers and staff., • Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale (POS) system., • Maintain accurate customer records and follow up with customers post-store visits to ensure satisfaction., • Collaborate with colleagues to create a positive and cohesive work environment., • Share insights and feedback on customer preferences and market trends with the sales team and management., • Occasional travel, participation and organizational setup for local and national events, • Ensure seamless coordination, effective communication and execution of tasks related to event planning and execution. Qualifications: • Previous experience in sales, preferably in the retail or cycling industry., • Passion for sustainable transportation and a good understanding of e-bike technology., • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills., • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet sales targets., • Basic knowledge of bike maintenance and repairs is a plus., • Familiarity with POS systems and basic computer skills. Working Conditions: This role primarily involves working in a retail environment, including weekends and holidays. Comfortable standing for extended periods and lifting/moving e-bikes as needed (80+ lbs). The candidate should also be committed to maintaining a clean, safe, and organized shop environment.
