Apply now to make a difference in patient care while enjoying Ithaca’s vibrant college-town atmosphere and stunning natural beauty.\n \n\nRegistered Nurse Job Details\n\n • Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York healthcare jobs)\n, • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 30, 2024 – December 30, 2024)\n, • Healthcare Setting: Prep & Recovery Unit (PACU nursing jobs)\n, • Schedule: Day shifts; preferred 3x12-hour or 4x10-hour shifts per week\n, • Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week\n, • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1930 - $2070\n, • On-Call: 1 weekend day (24-hour call) in a 6-week rotation, plus weekday call\n, • Flexible scheduling available\n\n\nRN Qualifications & Requirements\n\n, • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state\n, • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in PACU, Prep & Recovery, or critical care nursing\n, • BLS certification required (American Heart Association preferred)\n, • Experience with peripheral nerve blocks preferred\n, • Pediatric nursing experience (age 6 months and older) preferred\n, • Familiarity with Meditech EMR preferred, but not required\n\n\nPACU RN Responsibilities\n\n, • Deliver Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care and discharge in a single PACU unit\n, • Manage a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, including care for two Phase I patients as needed\n, • Provide care for inpatient and outpatient surgical patients, including elective, urgent, and emergent cases\n, • Assist with local procedures (thoracentesis, paracentesis, minor orthopedic procedures)\n, • Recover patients from multiple specialties: orthopedic, general surgery, ENT, neurology, plastics, urology, and gynecology\n, • Care for pediatric patients during high-volume ENT days and other pediatric surgeries\n, • Recover ICU and endoscopy (MAC) patients as needed\n, • Participate in on-call rotation and support flexible scheduling for optimal patient care\n GHR Healthcare Job ID #421492.
