Job Description As a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at Frank R. Laurri, MD & Associates, you will utilize your clinical training, organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work collaboratively to support providers and ensure a high-quality patient experience. This role involves direct patient care, clinical support, and coordination of care in a fast-paced medical practice. Key Responsibilities: Perform nursing duties within the scope of practice, including case finding, health teaching, health counseling, and the provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a licensed medical provider. *Provide direct patient care, including administration of medications, vaccines, and prescribed treatments. *Perform immunizations, injections, urinalysis, CLIA-waived testing, and other minor laboratory procedures, ensuring all testing and documentation are current and compliant. *Demonstrate proper placement, reading, and documentation of PPD tests. *Communicate plans of care to patients as prescribed by providers, including test results, treatment plans, medication instructions, and patient education. *Provide appropriate patient education based on diagnoses and treatment plans. *Handle electronic prescription refills (e-scribe) and pharmacy communications. *Assist with telephone coverage and patient triage as needed or requested. *Support patient portal triage, medical refill requests, and patient communications. *Schedule patient appointments and diagnostic testing when applicable. *Enter and maintain vaccine records electronically in accordance with regulations. *Utilize the electronic medical record (EMR) system for documentation and communication with patients and providers. *Comply with all practice policies, procedures, standards of conduct, and quality of care requirements. *Perform any other duties as assigned by the RN Nurse Manager, providers, or management representatives. Requirements: Graduate of an approved program for an LPN and Current NY state licensure. Experience in Primary Care and MEDENT are helpful.
