The purpose of the position is to offload trucks and confirm that all product received matches the purchase order and to accurately record and safely store inbound products in the proper location in our warehouse. In addition, a daytime Warehouse Associate may pick, prepare and pack orders for delivery. Duties and responsibilities • Prepare the receiving dock for incoming orders and maintain a clean and orderly workspace., • Assist shipping and receiving by unloading trucks and checking in merchandise; track and monitor all inbound product for that day., • When receiving product in, breakdown Purchase Order (PO) by item on a separate pallet., • Unload and Inspect: Unload trucks and inspect materials for quality, defects, and accurate counts., • Documentation: Verify shipments against purchase orders (POs) and Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs)., • Inventory Control: Log items into inventory systems and ensure proper storage., • Organization: Maintain a clean, safe, and organized receiving area., • Coordination: Coordinate with purchasing to resolve discrepancies, such as damaged or incorrect items., • Equipment Operation: Safely operate material handling equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks., • Verify product and quantities with purchase orders., • Handle all products with care to avoid damages and loss, • Compare packing list to the product received, all numbers should match.
