Day-to-day activities include conducting installations, operations, and maintenance of private and public groundwater treatment systems in the Lubbock, Texas area. The position is full-time. Preferred Lubbock area resident; however, will consider relocation for the right candidate. Responsibilities: The Essential Duties and Responsibilities are intended to present a descriptive list of the range of duties, but not all duties performed for this position. Other duties may be assigned. • Conduct installation and operations, and maintenance of private and public drinking water well treatment systems, • Conduct routine system inspections to include piping components, pressure gauges, and flow totalizers, collect system samples, and inspect and change out sediment filters, • Fill out accurate treatment system inspection forms, • Assisting clients and others as the expert when working alongside subcontractors, homeowners, occupants, and other personnel who may be involved with projects Education and Licensure Requirements: • Associates or High School Diploma with mechanical experience is required Required Skills: • 1-4 years of experience installing PVC water lines, • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, • Logistics and scheduling, • Comfortable speaking to the public and clients, • Valid Driver’s License, • Team oriented Highly Valued Skills: • General knowledge of residential drinking water well systems (well pumps, pressure tanks, etc), • General plumbing knowledge, • General construction knowledge, • Ability to oversee subcontractors and fill out daily quantity verification sheets Necessary Physical Requirements: The physical demands described herein are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position. If applicable to the contract, you must also obtain the appropriate clearance levels required and be able to obtain access to military installations Working Conditions • The job is performed in a combination of office and outdoor site locations. The office setting includes exposure to computer screens and requires extensive use of a computer, keyboard, and mouse. Outdoor settings include walking, driving, and carrying supplies throughout all seasons with exposure to heat and cold conditions, and potentially to wildlife.
