ABOUT YOU You are a skilled and experienced Human Resources (HR) Manager that will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of human resources practices and processes, fostering a positive work environment, and ensuring compliance with all labor laws and regulations. A strategic thinker with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships across all levels of the organization. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Talent Acquisition & On-boarding • Collaborate with hiring managers to develop comprehensive job requisitions and spearhead the full recruitment life-cycle., • Draft and finalize detailed job descriptions upon position approval, ensuring they are clear, compelling, and effectively attract qualified candidates., • Strategically post job openings on diverse platforms, including the company website, LinkedIn, and in partnership with the communications team, leverage Niyel's social media channels and other relevant professional sites., • Lead the end-to-end process of identifying, evaluating, negotiating with, and contractually on-boarding recruitment vendors., • Proactively source and review candidate curricula vitae (CVs) to cultivate a robust talent pipeline., • Orchestrate interview scheduling, actively participate in interviews, and meticulously assess candidate suitability., • Provide close guidance and support to hiring managers throughout each stage of the interview process (initial, subsequent, and assessment phases)., • Execute comprehensive reference checks for selected candidates, ensuring due diligence., • Leverage LinkedIn Recruiter Lite for posting positions, engaging with, and connecting with candidates during recruitment initiatives., • Facilitate critical discussions to finalize hiring decisions, ensuring optimal alignment with organizational needs and cultural fit., • Prepare and disseminate formal new hire announcements., • Efficiently process all new hires within the Human Resources Information System (BambooHR)., • Initiate and lead discussions with hiring managers to establish comprehensive on-boarding and learning plans for new employees., • Maintain consistent and supportive communication with new hires to facilitate a seamless transition into the company., • Ensure company policies are distributed and formally acknowledged (e-signed) via BambooHR by all new employees., • Conduct dedicated Talent Management on-boarding sessions, providing in-depth coverage of performance expectations, benefits, company culture, and other pertinent information. Performance Management & Development • Oversee the entire Performance Management process for all staff., • Drive the Key Performance Indicator (KPI) framework, encompassing annual objective setting, quarterly KPI definition and assessment, and comprehensive reporting from our online platform., • Facilitate career development discussions and strategic planning for employees., • Develop and implement robust succession planning initiatives to ensure organizational continuity and foster internal talent growth. Employee Relations & Off-boarding • Administer, analyze, and report on exit interviews to derive actionable insights for continuous organizational improvement., • Facilitate sensitive discussions with employees and managers regarding termination processes, ensuring clarity and professionalism., • Coordinate and plan staff contract evaluation, • Finalize all administrative aspects of separation offers and processes for departing personnel., • Ensure timely and complete removal of former staff members from all online platforms (e.g., Google Workspace, BambooHR)., • Lead the employee disciplinary process, ensuring all actions are conducted fairly and in strict adherence to company policy. HR Policies, Procedures & Compliance • Develop and implement new HR policies in response to evolving organizational needs and regulatory changes., • Review and amend existing policies to ensure ongoing relevance, effectiveness, and compliance with all applicable laws and regulations., • Facilitate the approval process for new or revised policies in close coordination with senior leadership., • Effectively communicate policy changes to all employees, ensuring clarity and understanding., • Oversee the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all HR processes, streamlining operations and ensuring consistency., • Evaluate the effectiveness of implemented policies and procedures, ensuring adherence and desired outcomes., • Identify opportunities to create and introduce new procedures that optimize HR operations and enhance efficiency., • Communicate all HR procedures clearly across the organization and ensure consistent adherence., • Manage relationships with tax authorities, collaborating closely with the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA)., • Oversee interactions with the labor office, working in conjunction with the Director of Finance and Administration (DFA)., • Support staff in understanding their rights and responsibilities as they pertain to labor laws. Employee Engagement & Culture • Orchestrate and facilitate team-building initiatives that foster robust collaboration and strengthen camaraderie., • Implement and oversee strategies to monitor and enhance employee satisfaction, utilizing surveys and targeted initiatives., • Plan and execute the annual all-staff retreat, ensuring a productive and engaging experience., • Develop and administer comprehensive award and recognition programs to formally acknowledge and celebrate employee achievements., • Coordinate external employee events and activities designed to promote work-life balance and cultivate social connections within the team., • Organize and facilitate regular Town Hall meetings, serving as key platforms for company-wide communication and fostering broad employee engagement. HR Systems & Administration • Administer Google Workspace for HR functions, including creating and deleting employee emails, managing access to shared folders and chat groups, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with tech support when necessary., • Oversee subscription and invoice management for all HR-related software and platforms., • Manage human resources information system thoroughly, encompassing posting positions, managing employee data (adding, removing, and updating information), facilitating performance management processes (KPIs & assessments), generating reports, and deploying employee satisfaction surveys., • Manage invoice processing for all HR vendors and services., • Serve as the central administrator for all time-off related information within human resources information system (HRIS), which includes adjusting requests for non-justified absences, generating reports for medical justifications, updating monthly annual leave balances, deducting leave for tardiness, and ensuring timely processing of requests by managers. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field. Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR) preferred., • 10 years of progressive experience in Human Resources, with at least 3 years in a managerial role., • In-depth knowledge of local labor laws and regulations in Senegal and familiarity with the rest of Africa., • Proven experience in all aspects of HR, including talent acquisition, performance management, employee relations, policy development, and HR systems administration., • Strong understanding of HR best practices and industry trends., • Excellent interpersonal, communication (written and verbal), and presentation skills., • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels., • High level of emotional intelligence and ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion., • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach., • Proficiency in HRIS (e.g., BambooHR) and Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms)., • Technically savvy to understand the needs of the organization to acquire and implement digital platforms to optimize productivity and workflows., • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment., • Fluency in French and English required.
