Investment Professional Alternative Cross-Asset Strategies (“ACAS”) Group Full-time Hybrid (Boston, MA or New York, NY) The Opportunity Join a fundamental value-oriented investment team focused on generating attractive risk-adjusted investment performance over a long-term time horizon across a wide spectrum of asset types. The strategy is a flexible and opportunistic mandate to invest across traditional corporate capital structures as well as other less traditional asset classes and strategies, in either private or public form. This position will provide a unique opportunity to execute investments in different markets and stages from start to finish. The Team This position is within a newly-formed focus area inside of the Alternatives team that is small and collaborative with various members across different verticals, and experience levels, including credit, real estate, private equity, and other investments. Team members wear multiple different hats and are motivated by a shared goal to source, research, analyze, and execute on unique investment opportunities, that generally target equity-oriented returns with a distinct focus on risk and downside protection, typically with creditor lens. This position will support broader Investment Management and our entire organization. The Impact This Position will be a critical team member capable of material contributions supporting all aspects of the investment process and leading in certain cases where appropriate. Specific work streams will focus on and include but are not limited to financial modeling; research and analysis; investigative due diligence, producing investment memos; legal review, and general critical thinking/problem-solving. Given the flexibility of this role, the different investments/security types, and asset classes, this individual should be comfortable, or seek to gain comfort, in shifting perspectives as needed, based on the underlying investment and situational context. On game night you run the score, the clock and the BallerTV stream, and you are the person athletes see when they walk in, between games and on their way out. Your Game Day Lead sets your seat each night: the score table, check-in, or the floor helping set the gym. Whatever the seat, the job is the same: every game accurate, on time and on stream, and every athlete leaving feeling the night was built for them. Your League Manager hires, schedules and develops you, and your Game Day Lead trains you and leads you on the floor. Run a court to the Brodie Standard and this role is a path into floor leadership. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES Run the score table. Keep the score and the clock accurate on the scoreboard, the BallerTV iPad and the scoresheet. Reset the shot clock to 24 or 14, record team fouls and timeouts, manage the possession arrow, sound the horn on every substitution the referees signal, and apply the timing rules. Get every jersey number right; if one is unclear, ask the player. Set up and run the stream. Set up BallerTV on your court before the first tip-off and have it live two minutes before tip. Check that it is live at tip-off and at every halftime, keep it running to the final buzzer, and watch battery and framing all game. When it drops, pause the game and work the fix; if it is not back in about 30 seconds, call your Game Day Lead. Own the welcome. When you are on check-in, greet every athlete, check them in quickly, hand out jerseys and answer questions about schedules, standings and rules. At the table, stand up and greet both teams before, between and after every game, know each captain by name, and use halftime and the breaks between games to talk with players and fans. Nobody gets skipped. Point drop-in players and spectators to your League Manager, who introduces every drop-in and talks to them about joining a team. Keep every game fair and on time. When you see one, that player does not check in: tell the referees so the game keeps moving, and call your Game Day Lead.
