The Grasset lab Our lab’s long-term objective is to uncover novel mechanisms underlying the pathology of Crohn’s disease (CD), a progressive incurable disease characterized by transmural intestinal inflammation leading to complications often requiring bowel resection surgery. The goal is to identify novel therapeutic targets by focusing on two previously disconnected hallmarks of CD: expanded mesenteric adipose tissue wrapping around the intestine – or creeping fat – and anti-microbial antibodies, both correlating with disease complications. Studying these hallmarks will further reveal unexplored relationships between adipocytes, stromal cells, and immune cells driving B cell responses in gut homeostasis and inflammation. Understanding these relationships will impact how we perceive immune responses at other mucosal sites and systemically. Ongoing projects include: the study of the impact of CD-specific microbiota on stromal cell-supported lymphoid structures embedded in mesenteric adipose tissue; specific mechanisms by which stromal cells and adipocytes communicate with B cells; and the subsequent impact on B cell activation and their differentiation to anti-microbial antibody-producing plasma cells. Job DescriptionRole Summary Our client, a healthcare organization with a high-performing pathology department, is seeking a Senior Clinical Laboratory Technologist to oversee laboratory operations and support quality patient care. This role is responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards while leading staff and optimizing laboratory processes. The position requires strong leadership, operational oversight, and experience in a hospital or healthcare laboratory environment. Key Responsibilities * Oversee daily laboratory operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulatory and accreditation standards (e.g., state, CAP, TJC) * Provide leadership and administrative direction to laboratory staff to maintain high-quality testing standards * Develop staff schedules, manage staffing levels, and implement cross-training initiatives * Oversee staff competency assessments and performance evaluations * Manage laboratory financial activities, including purchasing and vendor contract review * Ensure participation in proficiency testing programs and maintain quality control systems * Develop, review, and update laboratory procedures and documentation * Provide technical guidance and support to laboratory personnel * Coordinate training, continuing education, and professional development initiatives * Ensure compliance with safety, infection control, and quality improvement protocols Required Qualifications * Valid Clinical Laboratory Technologist license issued by the New York State Education Department (NYSED) * Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology (from an NYSED-registered program) OR a degree in biology, chemistry, medical technology, or physical sciences, or equivalent laboratory experience * Minimum of 5 years of laboratory experience * Experience supervising or leading laboratory staff * At least 2 years of experience overseeing lab operations, establishing programs, and interpreting safety or quality data in a hospital or healthcare setting * Strong knowledge of laboratory regulations, quality standards, and compliance frameworks * Proficiency with laboratory systems (e.g., Cerner, EPIC) and Microsoft Office Suite * Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications * 3+ years of supervisory or management experience * Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) Compensation & Work Model * Salary: $140,689 annually * Full-time, onsite position * Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM * 35 hours per week * Total openings: 2 * Interview process includes an initial virtual interview followed by an onsite interview

This position will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide the essential services needed. The Medical Assistant reports directly to the Practice Administrator. • Prepare patients for examination, including TPR, weight, blood pressure, update health information, allergies, and current medication., • Document patient vitals, assessment, encounter type, and provider into EMR., • Communicate with physician and/or nurse practitioner, changes in patient condition, abnormal vitals, lab results, and abnormal patient response during testing/exam., • Prepare minor procedure trays and assist with procedures (i.e., hysteroscopy, endometrial and/or punch biopsy, cyst aspiration, Pap smears, GC/chlamydia testing, HSG testing, etc.)., • Prep exam room respective to patient appointment and testing., • Educate patient on procedure(s) and provide answers prior to procedure., • Assist physician and/or nurse practitioner with patient examinations., • Maintain patient workflow to meet physician/nurse practitioner scheduling requirements., • Order and schedule lab tests as directed; review results and annotate appropriate disposition., • Order prescriptions/refills for patients prior to procedure; notify patient upon completion., • Disinfect room after each exam/appointment re-prep for next patient., • Equipment maintenance and sterilization; identify any need for supplies/parts/repair and notify Practice Administrator., • Order and maintain back-office supplies and reconcile monthly receipts/packing slips for submission to the business office., • Scan signed consents, office appointment forms, laboratory, and pathology reports into EMR., • Monitor medicine cabinet/refrigerator and order medications, as needed., • Perform urine pregnancy test, document results in EMR, and communicate with physician, nurse practitioner, or rad technician prior to exam/procedure., • Autoclave all used instruments, document size and type of instrument on package, change sterile/cleaning solution, and document in the soak-log., • Clean stationary room equipment, underside of exam tables, and provide clean/linens/supplies for all patient rooms’ weekly minimum, or as needed., • Maintain HIPAA and Confidentiality for all patient and clinic information, HIV confidentiality., • Understand and assess potential domestic violence and child abuse issues and report concerns to Medical Director or Practice Administrator., • High School Diploma Required., • Medical Assistant (MA) -or- Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) credential required., • BCLS certification required., • Phlebotomy certification preferred., • 1+ year Medical Assistant -or- Licensed Practical Nursing experience preferred. CCRM’s Compensation: The salary range represents the national average compensation for this position. The base salary offered will vary based on location, experience, skills, and knowledge.
